I imagine that celebrity weddings and pairings are a lot like what happens in Game of Thrones, where publicists get together and decide who should pair up for maximum buzz. That's another reason why the marriages never last very long, either. Because they're all terrible people.

I know Jorda joining Lotus is supposed to be sending a positive message out to young girl racers, but is it really the case? I think even kids would quickly be able to determine that she is not in the programme because she is a good driver. The message actually seems to be if your smoking hot and have the right connections then doors will open for you. Sadly thats most of life I suppose. But is it a good idea to reinforce it to young girls?

I thought the same as you back when it was Maria but the facebook walls of the juniors that race in the same championship I sometimes run clearly found her a huge inspiration. They just don't want to admit that the car broke or something i guess. james allen pointed out that even the other teams, who normally have all the behind-the-scenes info, were very confused by what happened and equally in the dark as the rest of us. plus there were four cameras trained on that spot and none of that footage has been released. ideally the FIA investigation will shed some light.
