It's going to be really embarrassing for Wisconsin once the rest of the country sees the idiot they elected three times out of spite and he implodes on the national scale.

At least Sarah Palin can motivate her base with purestrain crazy. Walker is the luckiest fucker to be put up against weak and/or incompitent opponents when his base is riled up against the socialist in the Whitehouse.

Walker just released his proposed budget plan and he deleted something from the budget

quote:

25. DELETE LANGUAGE RELATED TO SEXUAL ASSAULT INFORMATION AND REPORTING

Delete the requirement that the Board direct each institution and college campus to incorporate oral and written or electronic information on sexual assault in its orientation program for newly entering students and to supply all students enrolled in the institution or college campus with the same information in either printed or electronic form.

Delete the requirement that the Board of Regents submit an annual report to the Legislature regarding the methods used to comply with the above requirement.

Delete the requirement that any person employed at an institution who witnesses a sexual assault on campus or receives a report from a student enrolled in the institution that the student has been sexually assaulted report the assault to the dean of students. Delete the requirement that each institution report annually to the Department of Justice (DOJ) statistics on sexual assaults and on sexual assaults committed by acquaintances of the victims that occurred on the campus of that institution in the previous years, and that DOJ include those statistics in appropriate crime reports.

Seriously, gently caress you

What demographic is that even aimed at appeasing? Who wrote that poo poo for him? The fetus people aren't officially pro-rape. Is this just a pushback against the idea that a strong, hard working, gun-loving, white, male, conservative, god fearing, queer hating, dealership-inheriting, oppressed christian like you n' me Earl, wouldn't last 5 minutes on a modern commy-queer-feminist-liberal-nazi college campus without a spurious rape accusation?

That's what I'm wondering. There's a nascent "Liberals are blowing this issue out of proportion" feeling in the conservative movement but nowhere near enough that I would ever expect a sitting official to dive in and take a swing at a universities policies of rape reporting. It's just bizarre.

The fun part is going to be when someone asks him about it soon. Can't really fall back on the "This isn't something I'm an expert in so don't ask me" when you're loving around with the actual language in a schools rules.

A spokesman for Walker said The University of Wisconsin system requested the deletion of provisions of "duplicative reporting requirements," since the federal government already requires reporting.

"Throughout his time in office, Governor Walker has made protecting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault a top priority," said Laurel Patrick, Walker's press secretary. "In his last budget, he increased funding for sexual assault victim services while also providing significant funding to support partnerships and state initiatives to shelter and protect victims of domestic abuse. His recent budget proposal increases funding to continue protecting victims and their families."

That's kind of funny because it's the exact excuse Christie used when taking money away from Planned Parenthood, he claimed repeatedly it was just budget related and had nothing to do with ideology....but now at CPAC he's touting it as pro-life credentials. Maybe Walker is just counting on rapists being a big part of the GOP tent in a few years.

Isn't also exactly what he said about the changing of the the education's mission statement that caused such controversy? Didn't he say "It wasn't us, they requested it" and then immediately that was proven to be a lie and he had to go with "It was just a mistake" and then it came out that his people specifically requested it?
