I bought a used belt in great shape for about $30 on ebay. Mine had a stabby piece on one of the plastic buckles and I run a tight ship.

It's me. I'm the terrible car stuff. I tried changing the gasket on my injectors and had to take the cover of off the engine (not the whole cylinder head, just some plastic cover that covers the camshaft). Didn't cover the holes, took a clip out of the diesel return lines, dropped it right into the engine, vanished right into the oil under the camshaft....that was a loving fun half hour with a flashlight, a screwdriver and a magnet. Rags in every loving hole that's open for more than two seconds after that. Cover your holes people!

But they've been using that same engine in most Citroens and small Fords in europe as well. loving piece of poo poo, already blew a turbo, leaks oil all over the place, at least three injectors have damaged seals (i hope, if the injectors are the broken parts im looking at at least 450€ just in parts)Haha, jesus christ, i just googled the engine (DV6TED4) and they put the loving thing in a Volvo S80. Yeah thats gotta be fun to drive lugging around 1,8 tons. My 306 2.0 HDi is herniating combustion charge out of one of the injector ports. I'd fix it but at this point that would require a new cylinder head. *E* 90 HP.

If it's just jumping up and down in the seat, I've seen engine workshops fix that (I think they machine down the seat and put in an insert). Had it done for work once to a customer vehicle, never had a problem since.

Mine killed its turbo cause of a filter in the turbo oil line. It's clogs up easily, leaves the turbo dry and kills it. You might want to look into removing the filter or if not at least be very thorough with your oil change intervals. Oh yeah. The whole half hour pants making GBS threads was all for nothing anyway since I couldn't get the injectors out. That was a fun day!

If there's a filter in the oil line then shouldn't it be changed as part of regular maintenance? You know like that other filter? Seems like an odd way for an engine to fail.

Well, I've already put mine up for sale, I need to save some money for a while so I'm gonna race around in my little Pegueot 106 for now. The V50 is still on the original clutch as well, so I'm seeing some big bills on the horizon if I keep it.

Hah, awesome, a trans-continental seatbelt swap. You can get seatbelts made up by qualified third-party places, there's no actual need to get second hand ones if you don't want to. This doesn't apply if you've got pre-tensioners, because I don't think anyone messes with that stuff outside the factory bubble. Of course, a third-party seatbelt supplier probably charges like a wounded bull to fit the most basic setup.

I'm unsure if this is terrible car stuff but I think it is. LR3's aren't supposed to sit lower than my Toyota Camry and have noticeable negative camber are they? It's kind of hard to see but bottom of this thing was definitely really low to the road, like the axle was bent into a slight V shape. From the side it didn't look that bad but from the back it looked like it had maybe 3 inches of clearance from the road down the centerline of the car. I don't know the car well enough to know if the LR series have gotten that dumb or if something is going wrong with the suspension.

Probably bad air suspension. Not a surprise on that on pretty much anything with air suspension. One bag goes bag, pump is running constantly and overheats/dies then the entire thing ends up slammed. Idiots keep on driving after every warning sign because maintenance is for suckers.

Another prime candidate for a coil spring conversion. Even at a more reasonable ride height, the IRS models still have a negative camber squat that the factory allotted alignment adjustments can't always cure. Working air ride or not, every one that has come into the shop I work at has terrible inside tire wear because of it.

Last summer, there was an '06 LR3 getting a full frame and motor replacement at one of the local shops. Not covered by any extended warranty or insurance, etc. Fully paid by the owner because he "just loves the truck so much." Total bill was north of $20k.
