Most likely the perfect rectangle your seeing is where the clear film was taped down to cover it after it was done.

Yeah, pretty much. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to make a decent tattoo out of it, but you totally could make it to scale.

E: actually, saturn, Uranus and Neptune would all be decent sized. I dunno how big you think Jupiter is, but it's not that much bigger than saturn.

Was going to post this. The line work around the legs is a little shaky, but I like Haring's stuff (I can never remember his name though). It's really not very good in all black.

Hijo Del Helmsley posted:

It doesn't need to be exactly to scale to show the size difference, you just need eight dots that are all different sizes. Mercury should not be nearly equal to Neptune. Also, Saturn's ring looks like the tiny rear end one that is around Uranus, which is missing its ring.

I've seen a whole class of 4th graders do better than this.

Points for only having eight, though, I guess.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a customer who was droning on and on about wanting to become a tattoo artist while I was tattooing him. Which ended with:

Me: "Can you draw?"
Him: "Well, no..."
Me: "Please don't."

A dick move on my part, sure. But it truly boggles my mind that there are so many people who get into a career based almost entirely around drawing yet can't draw.
