In an ironic, yet satisfying twist of fate, Alonso-bot's battery discharged into the chassis and caused severe damage to the MP4-30. Alonso-bot has been sent back to the Honda factory for diagnostics and repair, meanwhile K-Mag will drive the charred, defective lump of carbon in Melbourne.

I'm going to petition Maduro to offer Ron Dennis a PDVSA title sponsorship and when he comes to Venezuela to sign the deal I'm going to brutally murder him and since we have a 99% impunity rate there's a pretty good chance I'll get away with it.

Oh, is Vandoorne actually good? I knew he was around in the background somewhere, but I did not know he was a legit talent. Or is it just an otherwise talentless pool in GP2 right now?

Looking through this year's GP2 ranks I notice Honda have immediately plonked a Japanese driver in there alongside Vandoorne at ART. I hope Nobuharu Matsushita isn't poo poo(a).

And Marciello is driving for a team that spent most of the history of GP2 finishing in the bottom 3. The very best win in their first year, Alex Lynn has the best team, he could do it. Other than that, with Evans, Vandoorne and Marciello all have scrubs for teammates, the talent level drops like a stone. The only others to even watch would be Lynn's teammare Gasly who got a head start in doomed Caterhams late last year and was 2nd in the FRenault 3.5s and MAYBE Jordan King and Rossi if Racing Engineering get their act together. Which is a lot of words for "If Vandoorne doesn't win it he might as well kill himself".

Or have they done the same thing again in less tha 12 months? Evans seems quick but Russian Time had to be the worst team at calling strategy in GP2, no matter who is running it. Van Doorne seems the business though.

I don't know if he's got the same raw pace as the others but I'm not sure he's really had much of a chance as some of the other drivers. Officiating has always been another problem in GP2, I remember one race where someone hit one of Evan's spare tyres laid out in the pits and someone on the GP2 Twitter account sent me back a "NO" when I asked if there was going to be a penalty for it.

Spain 2006 was the highest ever Super Aguri finish you should watch that one. I don't even know what else happened but knowing 2006 Alonso probably cheated and won (or cheated and came second)
