I'm not sure if it's exactly a glitch, or just some issue with NPC AI, but I've been playing Red Dead Redemption, and anytime I've encountered an NPC that's screaming for help (either being attacked by wild animals, or another person), they'll stop and thank me, then run away screaming. 'Thank you. Why can't all men be like you?' 'I couldn't just let him kill you ma'am.' *NPC books it like Usain Bolt, shrieking for help* Cracks me up any time it happens.

I not sure I'd call it funny, but the recent Dragon Age patch seems to have replaced the "picked mushrooms" model with a dead spider. So there are just humongous dead spiders everywhere in my garden.

Not really a glitch but I think it's close enough to fit in this thread. I was playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and in that game the police will chase other people as well. If you decide to help the police you can knock the dude out with your fists (using guns will get you stars) and they'll give you a good citizen reward of 50 dollars. I see a cop chasing down a black dude and since I wasn't doing anything else I decided to try and go help. The cop beats me to the dude and knocks him down. Straight out of real life though from off screen 5 other cops showed up and they all kicked this poor dude to death in front of me then calmly walked away.

Evil Badman posted:This looks to be a side effect of someone changing the car properties on the PC edition by removing the friction. Isn't this a bug with the game spawning 2 cars in one spot, usually an intersection, and them getting violently separate? I know I saw that happen once on my machine.

Over in the 'PYF GIF' thread, someone posted a GIF made from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Atrll2yr8Ds Now, that's a bit glitchy, what with the physics engine not knowing quite what to do with all those Reliant Robins. But it reminded me of a wonderful game glitch from my youth. Way back in 1985, I got a copy of Racing Destruction Set, from Electronic Arts (back before they were EA), for my Commodore 64. The game was a fair ton of fun. You could select and customize a wide variety of vehicles, from a lunar rover to a beefy muscle car. You could also build the track out of customizable tiles like straightaways and curves and intersections. For further customization, you could tweak things like whether cars could take damage, what kind of scenery would be used for the track, and gravity, from moon to Jupiter. Needless to say, at one point I decided to see how much havoc I could create. I built a track that was simply a long runup to a steep ramp followed by a hairpin turn and return to the starting line. I turned destruction mode on and difficulty to 'Severe', which disabled the built-in safety rails and allowed you to wipe out. I gave myself the car with the best top speed and acceleration I could and gave the computer the lunar rover so it wouldn't get in my way. I turned gravity down as low as I could. Then I gunned it and went to fly off the track. I expected to make a big fireball. What I did not expect was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VM_P39DM0pc Yes, I'm old. Turned 42 today.
