What was the aim of the program? How did they select people to go, is it self nominated? Is it self funded? What does the military get out of the deal? It sounds like, at a minimum, ensuring the safety of these journalists would require some effort on their part... I guess, if the journalists do report that the war is going awesomely the army gets good press, is that it? It just strikes me as a weird idea...
