I don't even like TSM all that much but watching Bjergsen massively outplay Winterfox over and over again after a horrible level 1 is pretty enjoyable.

Optimism is all we have to rely on this season

Yeah man, cheering for arguably the most consistent team in NA over the past two years is a tremendous burden for the fans.

I wish the LPL casters weren't so godawful. What does "rotating down bottom to get that dragon control in his BACK POCKET" mean??? And that's with the emphasis they played on back pocket.

They haven't been consistent at all this split. Sometimes they look like C9 and sometimes they get outplayed badly in lane and the game becomes unrecoverable very quickly. Balls especially when he hasn't gotten Maokai or Rumble has been shakey as gently caress. Hai's champion pool has been a consistent issue for EVER and somehow that situation still hasn't improved. Every champion Meteos played well has been nerfed to poo poo and the current popular junglers aside from Nidalee he's had very mediocre performances on.

They tend to ban out their own loving champions half the time too.

As a C9 fan this season has been depressing.

Same. It's cool we can watch the Chinese scene now but even just keeping up with the LCS and OGN is tough enough.

No team has ever had a winning record against c9 in regular splits since they joined and the only teams that have a chance to change that are gravity and tsm. They may not be playing their a+ game but they are still a tremendously consistent organization over long stretches of time. Since their 1-3 start this split they are 8-2. Balls sucks on lulu and lissandra but that shouldn't be any more surprising than lemon dying to level 1 brush cheese or hai's champ pool.

C9 probably won't finish first in a split for once but I would hardly call their performance depressing.

I said in regular splits, not playoffs.

Though if TSM wins in the last game of this split, it's probably safe to say that C9 will go 0-18 in the summer split this season.

They're not scrappy underdogs they're like, the old veterans who're getting shown up by the punk new kids.

Well it's not exactly surprising given how long people have been calling on them to replace Hai and Lemon Nation. Now add the calls to replace Balls as well (and probably Meteos too if the jungle meta changes) and it's understandable that some people would look at them as underdogs. Not to say that there aren't some legitimate reasons to criticize them, but for how much they get called out you'd think that they were DIG or Coast and not sit in third place with the same roster that was the best in NA for a long time.

To be honest they've looked like about the third or fourth best team in NA all split. Right now I think TIP, CLG, and TSM all look better.

I think TIP and C9 are both having problems with draft and boneheaded top/midlane mistakes so it's a toss up between the two but CLG and TSM definitely look to be top 2.

Cloud 9 has kept the same roster since its founding despite at least two of its players struggling for the better part of a year now to remain near the top in their positions. Every other team has made significant roster changes since last year, often spending big money to secure top international talent.

Through all of that C9 has remained competitive. They are underdogs in a way.

Which top international talent is this exactly? Also if your teams biggest hurdle has been that some players may no longer be the best you are for sure an underdog story the likes of T8.

3/5 s3 world champs, some solid OGN B-teamers, arguably the best mid-laner in Europe, the OCE champs/rank 1 players, etc. etc.

Right but out of all these players are there any you would reasonably consider tops at their position other than Bjergsen and Lustboy? Lustboy has worked out really well but he was considered washed up when he came over.

I really don't consider adding Fenix and Piglet to make C9 underdogs when neither player would even make their roster.

Ziggs has really fallen off from his prevalence last season, but that seems like a singular role where you're really only ever going to see whichever champ is best at it, which is now obviously Xerath. Not sure if his stun duration nerf is going to keep him out of the meta now but we haven't really seen him in awhile anyway.

that was a weird misquote.

It was somebody in EU, I want to say Kikis? Anyways we saw that one jungle Riven game very early this season.

Although AHQ yanked out Mordekaiser W1D1 and lost.

If Crumbzz can adapt to the newer jungle he'll be fine. His issue with Dig is that he put such a huge emphasis on warding and vision control that he forgot to do anything for his lanes.
