virtualbox is decent if you don't have a vmware license

I need to reapply the paste on my cpu. I have a noctua nh14s and im hitting hi 60s without overclocking in prime95 (i5 4670k). Are there any gotchas to this hsf? I only used a rice grain of paste last time. Does it need to be spread manually or will it squeeze when the hsf presses down?

while technically you should just be able to just squirt it on and then press the hsf down and not worry about it, i would strongly recommend taking a razor blade or similar and spreading it around. it's unlikely that this is absolutely necessary, but at the same time, i have seen a processor burn out because the heat paste wasn't covering a corner, so ymmv.

I never use steam but I had a hankering for rollercoaster tycoon 2 so I got it. How do I make it run in a window (and not full screen)? ALT+enter doesn't work. The game is PC only so I'm on Windows obvi.

yes, just put them on the same virtual network and make sure they're both on at the same time

Or maybe shaggar was saying run server 2012 on hardware and set up more server 2012 vms in hyper-v. Dunno.

if i paste this
code:
function dateAdd(date, interval, units) {
  var ret = new Date(date); //don't change original date
  switch(interval.toLowerCase()) {
    case 'year'   :  ret.setFullYear(ret.getFullYear() + units);  break;
    case 'quarter':  ret.setMonth(ret.getMonth() + 3*units);  break;
    case 'month'  :  ret.setMonth(ret.getMonth() + units);  break;
    case 'week'   :  ret.setDate(ret.getDate() + 7*units);  break;
    case 'day'    :  ret.setDate(ret.getDate() + units);  break;
    case 'hour'   :  ret.setTime(ret.getTime() + units*3600000);  break;
    case 'minute' :  ret.setTime(ret.getTime() + units*60000);  break;
    case 'second' :  ret.setTime(ret.getTime() + units*1000);  break;
    default       :  ret = undefined;  break;
  }
  return ret;
};
into the console and then paste
code:
        // These will eventually come from config json
    var configStartday  = 1 // Monday
    var configCalWidth  = 5 // No Weekends
    var configCalLength = 3 // Three weeks at a time
var startDate = new Date(Date.now());
    console.log("Now: " + startDate)
    startDate.setDate(startDate.getDate()-startDate.getDay()+configStartday)
    console.log("Start date: " + startDate)
    var endDate = dateAdd(startDate, 7*configCalLength, 'day')
    console.log("End date: " + endDate)
chrome can't get past var endDate = dateAdd(startDate, 7*configCalLength, 'day') because "TypeError: undefined is not a function"

what is going on here? I really hate and don't-understand js so don't assume anything about this example

should be endDate = dateAdd(startDate, 'day', 7*configCalLength)

interval is the second parameter so your switch is falling to the default which returns undefined.

i thought about asking this in the radio thread but that seems to be mostly hams so i'll try here:

I got an atsc tv tuner but when I do a channel scan with that, it doesn't pick up any stations. it's just the dinky little default antenna, so is it more likely that I'm not picking anything up because I live in a rural area or is it more likely that something is misconfigured and the software isn't communicating with the device properly? (I don't know much about the range of atsc tv signals.)
