Ugh, in a format with a deck that already creates 20+ mana by turn 5 or 6. MGD Splash Black for This, NewSidisi, and Doomwakes in the board.

The megamorph cycle is now complete. Seems pretty lame compared to the others really, with the worst body and a rather conditional effect. I guess it might replace Reclamation Sage when it rotates.

It is a lower rarity than the other 4, so it's not completely unexpected that it's a bit weaker.

I think Den Protector is actually the member of that cycle. It's rare and has an ability aside from the megamorph stuff, like the others. This is basically just Nantuko Vigilante, which was actually a reasonable card for a little while there, until Darksteel came out...

If the lifeloss counts with Soulfire Grand Master's Instant/sorcery lifelink, it might as well be printed as: "you draw x cards" Also, this will go great in my mill EDH deck.

Right I got confused, just saw the 1A cost, 2/1, megamorph for fairly cheap and "+1 when this card flips up" and assumed it fitted. I forgot about Den Protector.

Oh poo poo, actual good red card draw. Holy gently caress. And it's instant speed. This is literally a Topdeck of the Century card for Mono Red in the late game. You just drop it for all of your mana EoT and just go hard or go home, I love it.
