Yeah, Stantis finds himself on the right side of an issue more often than most of his peers. Don't count on hearing a peep from Ramirez, Branco, or any of those guys about GOP senators trying to torpedo international negotiations.

January 19: PAT QUINN SUX!
January 20: The liberals (uh, sic) who work for The New Republic are big effete dorks, unlike me, Eric Allie, manly man of manliness.
January 28: Michael Moore is fat.
February 11: NBC is a buncha clowns. Look at the clowns!

February 28: Illinois, other than Bruce Rauner, is a buncha clowns. Look at the clowns!
March 6: PAT QUINN SUX!
March 6: Clinton e-mails, blah blah Obama.

And that's it. That's Eric Allie's take on politics, circa 2015. I don't know where he's getting the wingnut welfare from to be a lazy, intellectually bankrupt rear end, but it seems like a pretty sweet deal.
He draws Prickly City, which is probably more of his day job than his regular politicall cartoons.

Emailghazi cartoons are really giving me flashbacks to the 2012 elections. I can't help but wonder if the GOP has forgotten that you have to have a candidate who is real and exists and is capable of getting the majority of Electoral Votes to win an election. Cutting down the opposition isn't enough by itself.

The first panel is about Julia Agrippina. Just feel like talking about her because she is one of my favorite historical figures and there's a bit of trivia that always cracks me up: During the first couple years of Nero's reign everyone knew this 16 year old shitstain had no business being Emperor but they couldn't exactly put his mom in charge so when he did official Emperor business she would remain hidden behind a curtain and tell him what to do and say, everyone could tell what was going on but heaven forbid there be an actual Empress on the throne.

He's missed one early on - when the Romans invaded Britain Cartimandua ruled the north of England as queen in her own right, having inherited her rule (and divorced her husband, making the point clear). She gets bad press for handing Caratacus over to the Romans and effectively ending resistance south of Scotland, but at least she didn't get thousands of her own people wiped out like Boudicca did. For reference, Boudicca doesn't count because her power came from her husband; she's also not expressly described as 'regina' by Tacitus, unlike Cartimandua.

The chess comic is kind of out of place there. They didn't call the chess piece the advisor to avoid calling it the queen. They called it that because that was the name of the piece, before it was changed to queen.

In most arguments it's not so much an 'argument' as 'a reason why gay conversion camps and other such things are literal death sentences for many lgbt people and should probably be illegal' but it's cool you projected all this weird stuff about it leading to the gay cure like that lovely X-Men movie.

For a lot of people, that is basically the crux of the whole debate. Like, the first thing a lot of people bring up when you have to argue gay rights with someone. I'm not saying people are jerks or anything for bringing it up, but that it's not the best talking point.
