Most of these guesses seem comically high. Last year was the most deaths ever at 16 and most years are lower than 5. I can't decide between 3 and 4. But 3 was my initial guess and it hasn't filled up yet, so lets go with that. The unfortunate split will be one sherpa, two climbers at least one of which is not from a "western" country.

Everest will claim six including Sherpa. Bonus guess, on of those claimed will of course be Alyssa Azar the Australian trying to become the youngest woman to summit and she will die in an avalanche as befitting someone who was there for last years avalanche and decided it didn't faze her.

I guessed high because of a ripple effect from last year. The government may allow even more climbers this year, those climbers are going to be extra desperate to summit. Wonder if there's going to be some hot head who decides not to use sherpas because he's all mad at them cancelling last year in respect of their fallen comrades and ends up dying.

I'll say 2. I think after last year's issues, people will be very cautious and supportive of each other, leading to an exceedingly safe year. This in turn will be seen as a turn-around in the culture of climbing and a new era of safety, setting the stage for a glorious harvest in 2016 as reassured amateur climbers flood the slopes.
