I think it's just because when the other characters' actors appear, they look way different/more normal. They keep making Josh McDermitt look about the same as he does on the show itself (aside from the clothes), so it's kind of weird.

The revolving door is kind of a hamfisted metaphor for the Alexandrian's "rules" of sacrificing other people to save yourself.

Although that's kind of what Rick's group is doing to Alexandria now, so, I guess what goes around comes around.

I missed the first ~15 min of the show- is this explicitly a rule in Alexandria, or just the rotc guys?

It's kind of hilarious how the show turned serious, but every time they zoom in on Hardwick the big "dying Noah" cast thing is right there, grimacing and bleeding.

Yeah, I managed to catch that part, just wasn't sure if, at some point early in the episode, an Alexandrian told them thats what they explicitly agreed to do, or if it's just a byproduct of their ineptitude.

If it was explicitly stated, then it would seem safe to bet that the writers won't have leader lady take Gabriel seriously, but it would be a nice little bit of irony if she's in the dark that literally everyone in the city has been doing the exact thing Gabriel is accusing Rick's group of.

I'm starting to think that Diana brought Rick and his crew in believing she could still be in charge even though absolutely having to rely on them. Also the fact that Diana is blind to a mysterious girl occasionally jumping the wall, a spouse abuser, her coward son and friend displays her weakness as a leader. She sits in her house and plays pretend. Rick and his crew have a good feel of the day to day operations because they actually built a community from scratch.

The big goofy gomer at the construction site said they have "procedures" and then made like they were gonna bail on bucket girl.

The procedure being: run like a bitch

No, he deliberately locked them out because they were being chased by zombies and he thought there were too many of them. He basically decided to watch his "flock" get ripped apart by walkers rather than risking letting them in because he didn't want to get eaten, too.

Oh man, I *need* a gif of that expression on Noah's face when he looks at Tara when that lovely music starts blasting in the van.

Though as soon as the opening scene was him talking with Reg about reinforcing the structures and wanting to be in it for the long haul, I just went 'welp, he's a goner'. That was gruesome to watch.

This whole thing seems overly contrived to create drama with the Alexandrians. They keep talking about vague threats from the outside and give cryptic allusions to the past. Why not spend 15 minutes and explain about the cannibals that tried to eat you all or the roving army that obviously attacked Noah's camped and mutiliated a bunch of bodies like right up the loving road.

Yep. Glenn beat his face in, then had Eugene help him get the guy into the van. I would not have blamed Glenn if he'd left his sorry rear end there, or killed him outright.

I'm not really sure why Glenn and Eugene would bother keeping the guy alive. The guy made it very clear that he will betray them in a heartbeat to save himself even when the betrayal is just loving unnecessary.

I also liked that juxtaposition. Eugene, who openly admitted he was a coward and not fit for combat/shouldn't have been on the run in the first place ended up saving the day (well, as much as he could), and even tried to draw on Nicholas.

Meanwhile, Nicholas not only left everybody for dead, when Aiden fessed up that the people they mentioned losing on a run was due to the two of them, Nicholas was pretty much 'and I'm leaving your rear end to die too!' I'm wondering if he'll try to make some justification of it, like 'I have a son! He needs me!'

I'm actually really looking forward to next week's episode, seems like all kinds of poo poo can hit the fan.
