Legit depressed crazy person pours his heart and soul into a project that delights millions of people, only to get piles of death threats when it's over because he "didn't end it right." I can't think of a more appropriate and level-headed response under those circumstances than re-doing the ending so that everybody dies and including screenshots and photos of some of the death threats in a montage. Idiot fans are the worst

I didn't really did Evangelion. It wasn't the 14 yer old girls or anything, it was just the whiny protagonist who just... sucks the entire show down with him. He basically just never stops being a whiny asshat, even when he's driving a giant fuckoff robot. I watched the american version so I have no idea what the hell people are talking about with the coma girl and I'm pretty glad about that. That girl's an amazing PG.

Evangelion is meant to take all the tropes of anime (the unassertive main character wimp, the emotionless girl, the drunk sexpot, etc.) and crank them up to 11 to show that they're all horrible, broken human beings and you really shouldn't be liking these people. Then everyone liked those people anyway and welp Anyway here are some Ritsukos because she is probably one of the least popular cosplay choices from that show

I don't think they were supposed to be unlikeable, just screwed up people in a screwed up world. I mean one characters mother had committed suicide, main characters mother was dead and had a bad father, who tried to reunite with his wife and lastly a clone of the wife. Plus a post apocalyptic world being attacked by weird monsters among other things. That kind of explains their weird personalities. Edit: I think the ending of the series was Lost bad.
