I'd never watched the collection of shorts from the tv show before the past two days, and I'm watching the Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained, and Mabel's dating shows and whatever and they're fuckin' hilarious. Man, I'm so glad I found this thread again (before the last few pages, though) to make me remember about this show and give it another go. Such a funny thing. I think Rick and Morty is the only show I enjoy more, but this is still the best 'saturday morning' show I can remember. The two seem to influence each other pretty heavily considering that they have shared voice actors and a very cool little cross series easter egg and also a pretty similar sense of humour,must one being specifically kid friendly. But they're both oozing with charm.

here let's discuss a show called gravity falls, I think that's relevant to the thread. There's a lot of ongoing mysteries on the show such as: how many months to the next episode? what's its title or do we know? also what monsters would you like to see show up? I'd like a vampires episode. Hell a series of vampire episodes. There's so many vampire shows and movies and tropes to parody. Buffy the vampire slayer had a bunch, there's Blade, from dusk til dawn, Twilight, old Dracula and noseferatu movies, Adventure Time's Marceline, sesame street's The Count...

That's the thing, if they do a vampire episode, I imagine they'd do their own funny take on it and if anything it'll be some thing where they have to help a vampire for whatever reason and the vampire is super nice. There will also probably be plenty of sparkle jokes Ooh! A vampire falls in love with Mabel because of all the glitter on her! Ooooooh! I think the closest the show has ever really gotten to just straight up using a normal monster is the zombies in the first episode this season, and then in that case they still were defeated in a completely silly way.

You're right. But it's still cool to see it happen in real time. As a kid who loved Zim, and use the internet, I came across some really gross poo poo. Every time I hear Jhonen talk poo poo about those people, it makes me laugh. So I like that Alex not only notices it, but comes out and says "What are you doing to my twins!???"

For almost two years many fans suspected Stan's twin existed but he wasn't confirmed til recently, and we still don't really know much about him except some hints from the Journals. It's a weird place for a character to be in.

The artist is Llorstel (the link already goes to her art tag) and there's no reason to be afraid of any potentially horrible art because she has only one real ship and it's Stan/Carla (from his one flashback). I follow both Gargrunk and Llorstel and to the best of my knowledge, neither of them ever post creepy stuff. The trick to Tumblr is finding the right blogs that post the good stuff, and then ignoring absolutely everybody else.
