It never says you can download the game itself for free and play it, just that you can play online for free without a membership. Playstation Blog posted:Starting Friday, March 20, at 12:01am Pacific through Sunday, March 22, at 11:59pm Pacific, PlayStation Plus is offering free online multiplayer for all PS4 owners Nowhere does it say that you can just go and download any multiplayer game for free and play it this weekend. It brings up Hardline and Destiny specifically because those are games Sony has put money behind, but you cannot download those games for free this weekend.

Yep, edited my posts already, I didn't see you already said that in your last post. Somehow missed that. I just focused on the part that said you needed PS+, which you don't and would defeat the purpose of the free weekend.

Yes, it's in your account settings. You can remove your billing information at any time.

The other guy made it really unclear for some reason but you can simply set the system language to English to have almost everything in English. If I do the American PSN account thing from the UK and buy Bloodborne on it, will I be able to play it on Tuesday, or will it still be locked because of where I'm connecting from?

That's an interesting question. I would think you'd be able to play it on the American account but perhaps not your European one? Maybe it'd be possible to start the game up on the US account and swap over? I dunno.

True, but he did ask about games and if your system language is on English the games will be in English, no option in the game needed. Unless the game doesn't come with English localization obviously (which might be the case for some games in the JP store, but if he uses the US or EU store this should not be an issue).

I suspect it'll be locked unless you only play over an American VPN.

Yeah there's no real reason for things being released on Friday in Europe or Tuesday (or whenever it is) in the US. Just tradition. But the annoying thing is that it's always the Friday after the US release, rather than the Friday before. Getting hold of a big new game on a day when most people have to work the next morning seems pretty lame though.
