Because yeah he should absolutely own it, but on the other hand the last time he posted personal vaguely sexual art on his twitter there was a massive backlash of people threatening to pull out of his Patreon until he tearfully apologized for making his fans feel uncomfortable for doing what any other internet artist does. This is generally why I dislike Patreon as a personal business model because you are kind of at the mercy of your fans, and if they say your comic or whatever needs to change to suit them, then either you change it so that you don't lose your business, or you risk not being able to support yourself. ANYWAYS, sometimes I wonder if the erratic update schedule is some sick data collection experiment that Kazerad does for one of his many esoteric tumblr posts.

I realize that in a comic where everything possible thing will go wrong for the main character it probably does make sense to stress about every. single. little. detail, and yes I get that's the joke, but drat, just get in there already. Some funny panels in here but I guess I may just be getting tired of the way this particular plotline is dragging on...or maybe it's just the slow updates making it seem that way. That comment about the earlier imp fight happening 'a few days ago' really puts things in perspective.

Kaz keeps saying he's writing this with an assumed audience of the person in the future who is binge reading it all at once, not really for the people who are waiting... and waiting... and waiting.... for the next update. That said, and even so, this particular exchange is REALLY cringe inducing. I know that's the character, and is just who she is, but I've mostly been enjoying this comic for the fact that she's been overcoming that. And right now? The awkward conversation with Rajirra is painful. JUST GET UP THERE ALREADY!!

I think in the future I should fall back to my previous "buy time to work on an animation" strategy where I cut to a different character, make everyone fall in love with them, and then kill them as soon as I'm done working. Like I'm not even being sarcastic, I feel that actually worked really well.

I mean, I assume that means she'll be killed off soon, but I like that she's as frustrated with Katia as I am right now. I get that the core loop of this comic is a slow buildup to crushing failure, but this particular bit of setup is laying on the "Something's going to go wrong soon, guess what!" thing a bit thick. It's kind of damaging to the illusion of progress when it's so clearly pointing out the treadmill. I dunno, it's been a while since I read the previous sections so maybe it's usually like this and I'm just mentally glossing over those parts.

 My drawing by Kazerad from the De-Suckify Christmas fundraiser arrived today. I'd joked to him that I planned on framing it above my computer, so he sent it to me pre-framed. Unfortunately, he hadn't planned on the clumsiness of the  On the bright side, through this mishap I discovered that he had hidden a second drawing inside the back of the frame.  Thanks Kaz. Is it incredibly easy to get stunlocked, or do I just suck at avoiding fire runes? Great update though, I'm really enjoying the use of the black borders to keep breaking panels and poo poo.

Dammit Rajirra!  I guess we know the reasons for the delays now though, that was a fantastic update. Amazing what a high tolerance Katia has for getting burned and exploded though, considering how bad I am at this game... Gotta say, I loved the 'feline agility' bit that transitions to the game, it's a small thing but a nice touch.

I did even worse the second time despite having a good idea of what to do (47 hits the first time, 50 the next) and the stunlock was utterly infuriating, but it was a neat update all the same, just maybe some minor tweaking needed. I may have to switch back to a Katia avatar with that 'gently caress Everything!' line.
