I thought I fixed the issue of not enough goods to sell by making more industrial parks and making a streamlined freight system but now everyone is exporting instead of sending goods to my malls lol.

Finally had to give up on my first city, 120k population seems to be as much as my CPU can handle without dropping below 20 fps. I never needed to build any dams, so I couldn't flood them out, but getting rid of all the water and electricity infrastructure did the job, with forty years of population growth gone in a month's time. There were three people who refused to leave no matter what I did, so I bulldozed all of the outside connections. That's amazing.

I want a mod that lets this happen but somehow adds collision to the train so when it actually runs it gets all Rollercoaster Tycoon on the rail lines.

A mod to enable cars to collide and cause pileups on the highways would turn most cities into burning Madmaxian hellscapes within minutes. It would also be genuinely interesting as an added challenge to build roads that don't function only because the vehicle AI's magical 100 mph merging abilities.

I'd think the trains would have to transit that at a very, very slow speed. Good thing there aren't derailments! I have noticed trains will slow down for tight turns, which is a nice touch. So avoid them if you want to keep your trains fast!

Galaga Galaxian posted:I'd think the trains would have to transit that at a very, very slow speed. Good thing there aren't derailments! They can be as slow as they want, as long as they are still moving. The two stations in the back are very very busy and produced blockages all the time. Unfortunately I didn't take any screenshots of the clusterfuck that were the previous attempts at fixing that line. Galaga Galaxian posted:What LUT is this? It's my own. I was upset that crime and disease ridden superfund sites looked all cheery and colorful so I desaturated and darkened them. Then I increased the contrast for that "smog induced twilight" feel.

Thanks Chewbot for finally releasing that evergreen LUT. Just need to fix some gaps in reality along the highways and then let it sit for 30 minutes at maximum speed to see if the water sources will gradually flood the whole map. Maybe add some more trees. Thank god for nlight's "run simulation as fast as your CPU lets you" mod.
