I manged to pick up nearly 20 Rancors for less than 2m each when that pack was released and sold them all over the next few months for a minimum of 10m. The Marka Ragnos chest made me a few hundred million as well. Pay attention to who's selling as well. I've had success /whispering people who are obviously listing the same item over and over without success. I managed to get the entire Shae Vizla set for 500k a few weeks ago this way.

I had an item listed for 2.5 mil for over 3 weeks once, re-listing every day. Only one on the server. A guy emailed a bunch of times me saying "Look, you've been trying to sell this forever, I've seen it. Let me buy it off of you for 500k." The last time he emailed, the very next email in my inbox, less than a minute apart, was from the GTN sale for 2.5mil to a different guy.

Is there any way to get the rep items from Cartel packs that have since been retired?

Going to try slicing, biochem and bioanalysis for my sith inquistor. Basically to make some spacebux and be able to craft med packs. Anyone recommend something that would be better for that class? Ideally looking for a little money making and be able to make stuff that would save me buying from other players.

I did biochem/bioanalysis/diplomacy on my sorcerer, and it's been pretty good. Aside from missing out on the chance to send Khem to conduct delicate negotiations, slicing should work out pretty similarly. You'll just have to buy the medical supplies that come from diplo from the GTN with your slicing money.

Do the items such as power tubes etc from slicing just get sold to a vendor or are they valuable to players.

Jedi posted:Is there any way to get the rep items from Cartel packs that have since been retired? CRC rep can be gambled by the little casino machine. However, the huge ruckus caused by the whiny baby community made Bioware completely decimate the chances of winnin' good poo poo (or anything at all) and skeeved them pretty hard into developing more casino machines for other legacy rep, which is super sucky because that decoration was an awesome idea that did great things.

I've said it before but adding some cool and unique items to the slot machines and letting guilds take even part of the profits, provided it's placed on a guild ship, would be awesome. Letting guilds add items to the jackpot would be awesome-er.

The grade 11 materials are needed for Augments and Augmentation Kits so there is some value there. Below grade 11 it's going to depend on the Conquest and prefab markets, if two guilds get in a Conquest pissing match you can make some serious credits on Scavenging, Bioanalysis, and Archaeology grade 2 and 3 materials. As for gear Basic comms will take care of you, just run KDY once a day. Getting a character to 60 asap and running dailies is going to be your most reliable source of income.

They really need to stop doing those on weekends when I'm loving busy. In other XP related news, apparently someone who's been mining the PTS has found references to a legacy unlock for 12x XP. No details about what it applies to, how you get it, what it costs, restrictions etc. Even I'm going on hearsay from my guild so take it with a grain of salt.

I kind of wish I had done that. Would have been nice to finish up the repub stories. But I came to ask, if I should transfer my other 4 50s and 45 with my cartel coins or buy a bunch of packs and sell crap on the GTN. But with the 2xp bonus weekend, I guess I'll just transfer a couple characters and poopsock out a couple more 60s.

So lightning spec sorc is king poo poo at the moment, but how is corruption spec? It seems like my style, and I was wondering if it's viable.

# ? Mar 28, 2015 01:23 |

You'll have no problem leveling, in fact the self healing makes it easy, and you will be a force of destruction in PvP. Its for sure viable but as far as flashpoints and ops it doesn't really compete damage wise with lightning. Which sucks because I also really enjoyed the playstyle....they just need to adjust the numbers

Truth...all the newfangled names for the 2.0 talent trees have me easily confused. The healing spec is actually very fun and feels like a good mix of holy and disc priest from wow. Lots of tools and when played correctly you have 0 force issues. You will be slightly less of a force of destruction while questing but with the 25% bonus to force storm its still very easy

It's really annoying that the tooltips don't update as you get new passives. Is there an easier way to keep track of "oh well this actually does 25% more damage now and costs less resources!" things or do I just need to memorize them?

You get to know what moves you should be using, just read the dulfy guide if you're not sure.
