The thing is that it doesn't look like anything from Captain Scarlet, the face is completely different, as is the structure of the head. Skimming through Revenge of the Mysterons from Mars doesn't yield any results either.

HTML5 left the video file side of the whole "web video container" part of it open. Open-source people prefer WebM and Theora stuff because h.264 has a lot of patent stuff on top of it.

Since Mozilla is a self-made champion of the open-source movement, Firefox needs a plugin to do h.264. Versions of Firefox worth using come with Cisco OpenH264, since Cisco kinda took a financial bullet for the entire Internet.
