The "look how happy I am with my family despite an unwanted pregnancy" scene in the park was also a bit of a giveaway.
Also the girl implied that getting pregnant was what got her "in". That was a pretty blatant setup overall.

I don't know why Debs would be so anti-Gallagher that she'd be willing to get knocked up to get out of her family. She's been pretty accepting of her life this whole season and only a little bitchy about it last season.

Is Monica Sammie's mom?

no and that was the whole reason Frank sought her out, because she was his other daughter and she was the other option for a liver transplant

People that actually think they're just going to murder Sammi are just living out their own fantasies. That's so far from a direction that this show would ever go in.

Previews are still a no-go, right? As far as Sammi - the preview strongly hints they're not just going to strike out at her because Fiona says something like "I know it's fun to think about torturing Sammi but we're not going to do that" to the other kids.

Its not exactly The Sopranos but it wouldn't be out of the ballpark for Shameless for Sammi to die violently. Right up until his reappearance everyone assumed that JimmySteve was murdered horribly by a drug cartel, that blonde chick in the early series got run over with a car on purpose and a few episodes ago a juice shop got shot up with automatic rifles. Given how Mickey is in general its certainly unlikely she doesn't get punched in the face a bunch and it seems unlikely she's staying in the house at the very least. The only shame will be no need to revisit Chuckie in juive.

If we are talking about hosed up deaths in the show lets not forget Dotty "Butterface" that Frank hosed over for a heart transplant because he was trying to get her pension and then hosed to death.

Yeah nobody on shameless has ever run somebody over with a car to get rid of them because they were loving up a gallaghers life,

And then she just wound up brain damaged and moved away. It's really not the same as having a main character beat/stab her to death. Also did someone really just compare shooting up an empty store to murdering a major character?

I know Mickey isn't technically a Gallagher (and his sister is the one who ran over Karen), but The Gallagher Way would be to do something that ruins Sammi's life further, rather than murdering her and leaving her retarded son an orphan.

Mickey went through a ton of poo poo just trying to keep Ian stable. Ian is now facing a prison sentence for desertion and theft of military property, which he had been avoiding fairly well until Sammi ratted him out. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that Mickey will snap next episode.

The penultimate episode (it's a 12-episode season, right?) is usually when they go darkest but I would be willing to bet that they find a different way to write off Sammi.

Depends on the Gallagher. Off the rails Ian was about to go gun down some not westboro baptist people, and was talked down by all people, Mickey, iirc.

True, but he's mentally ill and probably out of commission because of this, and the most violent and sociopathic Gallagher is in juvie.

I think this is the key point. It is not the Gallaghers that Sammi has to worry about, it's Mickey. I was honestly surprised he didn't do something drastic at the end of the episode to her. And he had poo poo all to do with Chucky's arrest so it's not like her weird point has any effect on him.

I just think instead of a brutal beat down or murder they will go with something brutal but funny because that's more Shameless. Like selling her into white slavery or making her a heroin addict or finding a way to blackmail her until she wants to join the circus.

Personally, I hope Mickey breaks Sammi's goddamn neck. Twice!

That was a really powerful last scene. I admit I didn't see it coming; I was still giddy from Ian and Mickey having such a good time together so it was a real gut punch. I know that was the intent and I fell for it but drat was it ever awesome and infuriating at the same time.

I'm still putting my money on Sammi pulling another attack on Frank as part of her revenge rampage and the doctor ends up pasting her because she doesn't give a gently caress about consequences any more and the only person she cares about is Frank.

There's a reason we've been reminded over and over that the doctor is terminal.

It's just a guess because Shameless loves doing fakeouts that lead to a shocker.

I hope he turned 18 at some point earlier this season, or the porn he starred in is waaay illegal. Not outside the realm of possibility for this show, but that seems like something that would have come up.

Also idk anything about the process of porno making, especially in a skeezy backend () situation like that, but wouldn't there be some sort of age check?

Most immoral, yeah. But Carl literally tried to murder Cousin Patrick with rat poison a season or two ago and engages on beating people up-on a semi-daily basis. Frank is a coward. They're both sociopaths, but Carl is the kind of sociopath that's going to end up doing hard time for things other then mail fraud and public urination. He'd fit in right with the Milkoviches.

I really get the vibe that Sammi's making a play to get the house for herself; I imagine she'll find out about Lip's spice shenanigans somehow, maybe use that to gently caress Kev and V's lives up.

I highly doubt it unless Kevin and V actually does something against her. I'd think they would but they've got their own poo poo to handle right now.

e: in sammi's (selfish) defense, all her actions and reactions were just based on her own personal happiness i.e. daddy-issues, etc.

She just dropped a dime on a dude with serious mental health issues who's finally getting treatment. It's literally indefensible. The people she should've been mad at were Frank and Fiona. Ian was literally an innocent bystander dragged into their poo poo just because she felt the need to lash out.

rubberrazors

Yes, so it would make more sense for her to lash out with "an eye for an eye" than to randomly pull some bitch poo poo against Kev/V. Unless there was a not-lazily written context behind it, I'd honestly be shocked (shocked I tell ya!) and annoyed at this show. I'm not saying Sammi's not a gigantic whore of a bitch though.

Not that I don't agree, but to be fair I think the reason a lot of us are upset about Ian and think what Sammi did was lovely is that we care about Ian (well most of us anyway) but don't give a poo poo about Chuckie.

Long Live The King!

Exactly. Nothing Sammi has done has been ridiculously over the line. She's just doing it to people we as an audience have formed an attachment to. Sammi and Chuckie have been constantly hosed over since Frank walked into their lives and it has all just boiled over. A mom that has her kid ripped away from her completely unjustly like that is going to lash out in all directions. Especially a mom that doesn't know how do it any other way. Sammi is only the bad guy here because we like the Gallaghers.

And that's exactly why he makes sense. Taking it out on one of the "guilty" is one thing. Frank took it out on an innocent retarded child. Ian is a bystander but wasn't her intended target. Just the most effective one at rattling the actual intended.

The really messed up part about what Sammi did is that her real target should've been Frank, and Frank doesn't even give a poo poo about Ian. So everybody got hurt except the one guy who deserved it.

But it'd be hard to "get even" with Frank if getting even means taking someone away from him that he cares about, because Frank doesn't care about anybody but himself.
