Dr. Gitmo Moneyson posted:Does Mega Man's Skull Barrier move reflect Lloyd Rockets? I think Mega Man's Skull Barrier reflects anything that's reflected by any other reflector move, so yes. Smashing Link posted:I want to unlock DK's specials but apparently I need to put in hundreds of hours or buy a turbo controller. Custom Moves are one of the worst implementations of a good idea I've seen in gaming in a long while. Requiring a massive grind to unlock, having a limited amount of custom slots per character, and no way to change custom movesets from the character select screen. It just turns using custom movesets into a massive cumbersome chore the second you get a group of more then two people sitting down trying to play the game, so for the most part my friends and I just don't bother.

Smashing Link posted:I want to unlock DK's specials but apparently I need to put in hundreds of hours or buy a turbo controller. I did it in a couple hours by beating All Star on Hard with DK then playing target blast to unlock the remaining few. Most of the customs unlocked through the between-round rewards of All Star. It's not hundreds of hours if you actually play the character you want to unlock things with.

There are a couple stark differences: one, Smash is a good game. Second, UMVC3 has way more viewers than smash at an average big name tournament, and yet they watch it despite the game not only being bad, but having that horribly spammy strategy. Lastly, it's funny specifically because it works when it shouldn't, and it makes people mad.

Hey, even if you get the turbo controller it'll still take hundreds of hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtBTy11GMuk To be fair, I got all the custom moves for my main characters pretty early on, within the first 10 hours.

Some of the single player is fun. I like classic, all-star and crazy orders. I also like messing around with custom fighters/equipment. I mean..for a fighting game it's pretty decent single player. Now, if you want absolutely atrocious single player in a fighting game, check out Soul Calibur 5. They took the least interesting character and told an incredibly boring story in the laziest way possible. I was also irritated that they replaced Xianghua, Kilik and Taki with less cool versions of themselves.

ZeRo and dabuz actually used the Fox/Olimar strategy in tournament recently. Now the EVO's rules regarding customs have been locked in, don't be surprised to see this happening a lot.

Project M 3.6 trailer. I like the look of their Bowser stage, the Thwomps seem like a really neat stage hazard. Also cool that you can now toggle between the Project M versions of stages and the original stage hazard filled Brawl ones. Plus more N64 stages! If there were a trivial way to set up matches in Dolphin netplay I'd play tons of Project M. Edit: Dark Suit Samus costume plus some other misc images.
