Feelin' it so hard.

Missing from the pics are about 25% of my books that are just kinda stashed around the house or deep in the shelves. I am usually reading 5-10 books at a time so they are all over the place. I also packed up about 50% of my action figures cause it was too cluttered.

If you have OCD I apologize in advance...

Ha. I just moved it over there because those books were blocking some shelves for the picture taking. I have no idea where to put the drat thing.

I warned you. My last job gave me little to no free time and I am always acquiring new crap so stuff has just been thrown haphazardly onto the shelves. The idea of tackling this mess was pretty daunting when you only have one day off. Thankfully I have a new job and new motivation to get organized. Gonna get some binds done and sort this stuff out. Oh, and I fixed the Sin City for you... I really want to get the Big drat Sin City but hard to justify when I have most of the books. (I seem to recall they aren't very good after volume 4 or 5 anyway?)

I'm more bothered by the one Thor being upside down.

Yeah, Sin City has a steep drop off, I think because Miller kept trying to capture the mood on the first one, which meant doing flashbacks and shoehorning Marv into every story.

But I'm a fan of the last volume (7?), mostly because it's separate from everything else, partially because of the unexpected color section in the middle doing something novel with the setting.

Before I realised what I was looking at, I thought it was a standard OSHC and the stack of omnibuses in front of were trade paperbacks. :stare:

Yeah. It is really big. Three times the content of an Artist Edition and about the same price.

So I've had kind of a weird hankering for obscure, campy old Silver Age DC stuff, and I noticed that the two Challengers of the Unknown Showcases and the one Adam Strange volume are pretty dirt cheap on Amazon. Has anyone read either of them? Are they worth picking up?

Okay, sorry for the double post, but here's a new question. My LCS is going out of business (:gbsmith:), and one of the trades they have on sale is an early-80s Legion of Superheroes story I've never heard of called The Curse. That era of DC has always been pretty interesting to me, and I've never read anything from the later Legion with a ton of characters. After looking it up, though, it looks like the book might rely pretty heavily on an earlier storyline called The Great Darkness Saga. Is The Curse good enough to be worth picking up on its own for 18.00, or will it not make any sense?

They just solicited OSHCs of both books leading up to Infinity. Probably gonna be a second volume of Avengers out by year's end. I don't know if/when we'll actually get a full Omni.

I was just looking at some of the newly announced collections that you can pre-order on Amazon. I'm curious about what the "Guardians of the Galaxy Solo Classic Omnibus" will include.

Also, Hulk has been added to the Epic Collection line with a book that looks to me like it's picking up directly where PAD Visionaries Vol. 8 left off.

I still have the Messner-Loebs and Jimenez runs to finish up (missing one issue for each).

I'm mostly happy to have the entire Perez run under cover, since I don't think DC will ever go past #24.

I recently got the Hickman Secret Warriors omnibus. It is really nice but I kind of wish it included the one Dark Avengers where Ares goes on a rampage and hunts down his son. They even reference the event during The List issue.

I kind of ignored all of the outside stuff, the social media, the extra pages, etc... when it was initially published so I like that it was all included.

I yiffed two people at once and all I got was laughed at.
Not really trade related but I'm working on a project I thought was cool.

I'm using metal trim as a runner for those little hard Mylar cases to display all my signed books. It's a cheap display for someone who has entirely too many signed books. I'm playing with hardware to attach the trim to the wall, right now I've just got them resting on some nails as a temp solution. I think I'm going to try some command strips for a more permanent solution.

I've got them up with my absolutes/slipcases on top of a 4x2 expedit. The Nemo really deserves to have its cover displayed though, especially considering that there's nothing on the spine. So that might change soon, we'll see.

Were the Archie books solicited though? I didn't think they were?

Is this just Marvel loving around with Hawkeye because Fraction didn't do what they wanted him to? That doesn't make any real sense to be, abut at the same time, it feels like it all went to poo poo when they asked him to rewrite Inhuman however many times before handing it to Soule?
