To the man who loves art for its own sake, it is frequently in its least important and lowliest manifestations that the keenest pleasure is to be derived.
It's pretty incredible what the people in this thread have identified from the most vague descriptions. It seems like no matter what dumb show you have hazy memories of from your childhood, someone else has the exact same memories but actually knows the name.

The scene you linked is Ultraman Mebius. The following scenes the credits list are from Ultraman Nexus, Ultaman Max, and Ultraman the Next.
Hope that helps.

If anyone could help me I would be amazed.

Its an animation, possibly a movie, old style art (bearing in mind the last time i saw this was a good 15 odd years ago ) There are some characters who turn into a rose when they die? A white rose and a red one i believe. Someones power is the power to summon a giant hornet which i think kills one of the characters.

edit: It may be significantly older than the age that i remember seeing it.

It's a long story
Saw this maybe in the mid 90s. The bad guys are bringing in some sort of specialist and he's coming in though an airport. He's getting questioned at customs and we can hear through his internal dialogue that he's super pissed off. For some reason he's really mad that the security guy's tie is twisted funny. So his thoughts are like "Fix your tie. Fix your tie! FIX YOUR TIE!!!" before he snaps and attacks him.

I remember a segment or episode of a comedy anime where a two guys are competing in an rpg and they discover that the king npc is a super powerful weapon and start fighting over him until they split him in half. Can't place the name though, and searching anything about rpg anime is a total crapshoot after SAO. I thought it might be Boys' Nichijou, but the only result I got from that was the segment where they larp an rpg.

I think it might be episode 99 of Gintama. The NPC wasn't a king though, but everything else seems to fit.

Just checked and it is, thanks! I've only watched a couple random episodes so it doesn't register in memory as a series I've seen.

There was a fantasy shounen fighting thing from the very late 90's/early 2000's where the main character's fighting style was drunken boxing and I think it took a lot from Chinese/Indian mythology, possibly even being another version of Journey to the West (its not Saiyuki though). It may have had Soul in the title?

It was never my cup of tea, but you're thinking of Soul Hunter, aka Hoshin Engi. ADV released the anime and Viz released the manga.

I saw a description of an anime earlier this year- a guy kicks a cat and offends a cat god, and must perform good deeds for 100 cats. I don't think it is Cat God, but I could be wrong.

alright, i've got another one, though it's not terribly important. i remember watching an early/mid 2000's show where one episode had a brother and sister who had a rich but evil father/grandfather. the siblings were hatching a plan to challenge him to eat blowfish, but rig it so that he would eat poison. somehow their plan failed and i think the father/grandfather ended up possessing the little brother, who had white hair iirc.

And there you sat, eating hamburgers while the world cried.
I only remember bits and pieces of one episode. I seem to remember it being on HBO when I was a kid but I may have just remembered wrong.

A witch/evil queen has kidnapped the (main character) girl and is going to force her to marry her son, who is a Jack-And-The-Beanstalk type giant. They may or may not be living in a city in the clouds. The girl's friends are trying to rescue her and something happens which causes the giant to fall down (or step on) his mother, who it turns out was a clockwork robot (or something).

I get this mixed up in my head with that Wizard of Oz anime but I couldn't find this storyline in the synopses I read of that series.

i need help remembering the title of an anime that i've only seen screencaps of (so details are a bit sparse :sweatdrop: ). from the artstyle it seemed like a 90's show, but could be late 80's as well, i suppose. mostly i remember the main character being a young girl with orange hair in twintails. i think she wore a purple shirt, and there was some sort of mascot character, like you'd expect in a magical girl series. it wasn't a straight magical girl show though, i don't remember seeing or reading about transformation sequences etc. i think the show or show's title also involved a clinic or store?

it's not Ojamajo Doremi, though.

You wouldn't by chance be talking about Kodomo no Omocha aka Kodocha would you? It was pretty popular back in the 90s.

You're probably thinking of Witch Hunter Robin. It was on the Cartoon Network years ago, so it's something people could easily have happened upon.

I remember watching an anime that was medieval themed, I think. And the main character was a blonde woman. Her name sounded like searma. Like searing meat and a casual way to call your mom.
I must have stopped watching it for one reason or another, but I keep thinking about it and I just want to put it to rest.
So please help me.
