An exquisitely designed piece of machinery, the best engineered weapon of the 20th century - no, no, you guys, I don't mean a Paul W.S. Anderson movie.

i forgot about the awesomely corny explanation for the changed voices in Face/Off ("I've implanted a microchip in your larynx"). i also forgot Bunny Colvin massaging Nicolas Cage's face.

LoonShia posted:Event Horizon is a fine movie, but I find it unrealistic that noone at any stage of the design process looked at each other and said "Hey, we're building an evil spaceship. What's up with that?" MisterBibs posted:Wasn't its becoming-evilness due to the unforseen "turns out we go through literal hell every time we use the engine" thing? That's what they say, but you just look at the Event Horizon - it's the most sinister looking spooky-gothic haunted house of a ship you could build and it was designed that way before it even went to hell. Makes me wonder about Dr. Grant and what he really was going for when he built the thing.

^ It's been a while since I've watched it, but wasn't most of the Horrible Look Of The Thing down to lighting (specifically, the lack of it) when the ship was found adrift? I really need to rewatch it... The first MK movie is awesome, if for no other reason, than this scene. First time actually sitting down and watching a Wrestlemania. Impressions: I think I'd rather these dudes just competed by putting on interpretive dances at one another rather than actually wrestling. The showmanship and pageantry of the entrances is the best part. Right now some kind of southern gothic monster hunter is rallying an army of living scarecrows against The Undertaker. Triple H arose from a Terminator battlefield wearing a T-800 skull mask and crown and hoisting a handful of Terminator spines. Some Red Scare dude rode into the ring flanked by Red Army soldiers and riding a T-96 tank.

The Ivan Drago guy with the tank was pretty good. Stream has held up pretty good all day. E: this body armor guy just cocked his hand like a gun and fireworks shot out around the stadium.
