Think back to how this all started, with those interminably long segments where Rusev would just stand silently in place then leave. It was a rare example of restraint from WWE to slowly build up antagonism towards him, and I think the moment everything clicked was when they did that medal ceremony for him and just played it completely straight with no interruptions/interference from any faces.

Now here we are at Mania and the man rode in on a tank :allears:
