Seriously, they look exactly like the blocky, angular, ugly low-polygon poo poo that was in at launch. I'm pretty sure the original ship artists aren't actually working at Cryptic anymore, since if they weren't the only explanation would be them being pulled back in after competent folks left. It's a really noticeable step back after the intel and command ships. :psyduck:

Honestly not really, even if the d'ridthau was fugly. This thing is way too busy and clunky. But have to see it game to be sure.

the upgraded canon skins look nice though, and they aren't making you buy the ships to get them which is cool.

i like the command ships but the intel ships are the mother of all low polygon / shitassed ugly hideous / looks like knockoff micro machines

Well, if the T6 Galaxy is actually useful, they kinda are. The other Galaxy class ships are pretty much the worst in the game, except for the Aquarius.

No, they're the worst. They finally upgraded the Aquarius to be a proper raider with the flanking bonus and access to the cloak console a while back. :v:

That's exactly the noise I made on my head. Some reactions are universal.

I still have 3k zen after I jumped on the zen sale earlier in the year, somewhat imprudently. It's banked and waiting for a fed ship with multiple specialisation slots. Come on flagship remaster.

Yeah I'm sitting on some zen after grinding up contraband last week. I might grab the 3-pack if they're not awful. Of course they're eng-heavy ships so I'm not very hopeful. The only way they turn out good is if they're smart about the hybrid slots.

At this point a LtCom Sci slot is almost a prerequisite for me too. I love Grav Well so much.

Steam charts have more people playing in march 2015 than in March 2014.

To appreciate sto is to appreciate that it is a freak show of sleaze and degeneracy. And they keep piling in, new ones do.

The goon presence in sto is a bulwark against the spread of filth. It's a godly undertaking, you'll be doing the lords work.

And goons are at the top of the heap in this game. We control a 10,000 person channel that broke/revolutionized the game, we are the most space rich and we have name recognition. They hate us passionately.

That was a totally great news post and a great use of your time. It's cool and no one cares about you actually releasing stats for your next pile of $60 ships.

Edit: Okay they posted the ship stats and holy poo poo they're even worse than I thought they'd be. Lieutenant Commander Engineering/Command specialist seat and you need to waste a FSM on the fleet version to get your 11th console.

They have Lt.Com tac seats at least so you can make something vaguely useful out of them, so they're not quite as unredeemable as the T5 Galaxy. But they're still straight up worse than the command battlecruisers in every respect respect, and the Gal and D'deridex remain big ungainly whales. The only upside is the trait sounds like poo poo and the console is probably poo poo so you won't really lose anything by just grabbing the fleet ones.

Also,

I was actually expecting the Galaxy to be a P2W nightmare born of desperation for nerd cash, instead I turned out to be amazed at just how mediocre the thing is. I would have bet money that the thing would have a pilot boff seat on it, and most likely a pilot, command, and intel seat instead of just a command seat. I can only conclude that they're trolling the poor nerds who won't let go of their boner for the Galaxy class.

Just so you know, my report went fine. Specifically, when you (or whoever it was) searched for information outside of this website for info on the name 'Chock' and found some info relating to that elsewhere with the intent of posting it on this forum for malicious intent, and chose to use it on this thread, thereby making it possible to identify me against my express wishes when registering on this forum, you not only transgressed the rules of this forum, whereby as long as more than ten days has passed between me making the selection on my registry to not disclose personal information, then it is an offence.

But more importantly, (for you and anyone else who participated in that act), you were in breach of the 'CONTROLLING THE ASSAULT OF NON-SOLICITED PORNOGRAPHY AND MARKETING ACT OF 2003', which I found out whilst reporting your actions to the Federal Bureau of Investigations in the US, via their IC3 reporting protocol.

This means I have instigated a criminal investigation against you and all your friends (told you I wasn't joking). You might be interested to know that a breach, if proven (which will not hard to do, since I forwarded the URL for this thread on my report to the FBI) carries a maximum five year prison sentence, a fine of up to one million Dollars (not excluding any personal damages I might choose to pursue for breach of privacy, which it was by definition of the forum registration rules), and all your equipment used to commit the act (i.e your computer and modem etc) can also be confiscated, not that big a deal in comparison to being fined a million bucks, but there you go. You can also be the subject of an order preventing you from using a computer for a period of time, if found to have broken that law, which I can assure you, you did.

If you don't believe me, feel free to read up on that law, and you will see that your actions transgressed several sections of it, which by virtue of this being a forum for a company based in California, is a criminal act. And if you still don't really believe that I reported your actions, here is the FBI complaint ID number: I1002250221319062

Have fun with your criminal record.
