VT plays at Purdue this year for what is bar none the weirdest scheduling I've seen in a long time. It makes absolutely no sense and there's no chance any good football will be played outside of maybe what VT's DL does to Purdue.

I have found that most seasons where the fans are like "yeah we're kind of garbage but look at that lovely schedule!" and then predict 10 wins based solely on that end in like 7 wins and a couple "how the gently caress did they do that? losses

Look at where the assistants ended up.

A real head scratcher, but I think it looks good scheduling wise for the CFP committee if we're any good this year. They are a P5 team at least, but they're also basically the worst B1G team at this point and have been for years. At least its not playing ECU again (even though we do that this year too forever and ever).

And largely I'm ok with scheduling bottom P5 teams so long as it isn't the norm. I mean there is usually a team in ever conference that we think will be awful but overperforms some. If Purdue is bowl eligible a win might look ok. And yeah I hate the ECU contract. We get nothing for playing them so often. Ink a game every few years since there is a little history there and Greenville is supposed to be a fun town, but gently caress this ten year contract bullshit.

While it's an arbitrary measurement I wonder if there's any correlation between IQ and probability chance or variance in severity of concussions. Basically are stupid people more prone to them or vice versa.

At least in Iowa, the second a domestic abuse charge is leveled it becomes "state vs. whoever." The accuser/victim no longer has like, any control of the case. Is it different in other states?

So, let's say on the chance that she recanted because she made it up (which I don't buy for a minute) and the DA or whoever comes out and publicly clears Taylor, does Alabama take him back and say that they just wanted the legal process so clear up? With domestic abuse being mishandled so much in the NFL and the backlash it has brought, I think they tell him to kick rocks. It seems like a bad PR move, but PR also doesn't win championships.
