I contributed a few minor things to it but never thought it'd come out. Made this for my girlfriend's birthday... this is gonna be expensive. Tickets to Rome: Tickets to Belfast (bit less sunny)

Its much more pictures than text, but the photos are fantastic. Josh Lyman posted:Were the YSLs also Wayfarer style? Nope, can't find a photo of them online. "Vintage" style I guess. Same - they're on Amazon UK but I'm sure you could pick up a copy at any of the big classic car shows for a bit less. They'll have some at the Belfast reunion next month. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0992859409/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_myi?m=A5INO3UU55ETH Really worth it though.

They're made in Italy so you either have to import them yourself or get them through a US distributor / reseller. I found them on Houzz for a slightly less outrageous price than any other option I researched.

Speaking of spending too much money, a pothole in D.C. destroyed a (crappy oem) tire and bent a rim, so my solution was to buy all new good tires and wheels I actually like.

muike posted:i don't understand Selvage denim is kind of the go-to if you've got a bunch of money to burn on jeans. It's got a distinctive seam (thanks to the "self-edge") that you can show off if you cuff the legs, and depending on the details it may be heavier and/or fit better after breaking in than denim produced by newer methods. A lot of selvage denim comes from Japan because the Allies sent over a bunch of slightly older textile machinery during post-WW2 rebuilding, some of which has been maintained by small operations since then.
