So, fps_max. What's the deal with this? It's 300 by default, but I'm kind of thinking of dropping it down a bit for power consumption and heat reasons. Any reason not to do it?

So I was playing this competitive mode thing and the guys I was playing with thought I was trolling them by being awful and then saw my 7 hours played and felt bad. Why would I get thrown into a game with high ranking people like that?

Any reason not to do it? you're probably okay if you can have 150-ish steady.. as there's no big dips you're fine with 100+ and 150 gives you a nice buffer your screen cant even output more than 60, 100, 120, 0r 144 depending on what you have, but its probably 60

Yeah, I have a 60Hz PLS monitor because 144Hz IPS/PLS monitors are really goddamn expensive and colour accuracy is more important to me for some of the stuff that I do than high refresh rates. I'll probably get a 144Hz IPS once they come down in price.

Doing an overwatch case with a clear aimbotter/wallhacker/bhop script user, but I'm not sure what happens at about 0:50 into the video. I've seen it in videos, and it's pretty clearly an aimbot. Are the hacks somehow spoofing where the gun is pointing? You'd think it would need to move the gun at the very least. Ahhhh, it feels so good to finally be back to DMG. Also, I do believe that is the very first shut-out I've had in MM. The only other one I've participated in was when Lou, Systane, Aww Yiss and I LAN'd a couple months ago, so it feels like I've finally gotten over the slump I was in for the past 6, 7 months. I made Silver Elite Master a few weeks ago and I feel like I'll be stuck here for a while. It seems like there's a huge gap between here and the novas just in effective 'nade usage, positioning, and your opponents not doing stupid stuff. It doesn't help either that I can't awp to save my life. Game is hard.

I mainly DM, ESEA, and goonman (don't play too many goonmans or else it makes you into a terrible player), but every once in a while if some friends/goons want to MM I'll oblige and join in. There was a solid year where I didn't even dare MM because I loathed it so much (64 tick, cheaters, pubbies with garbage attitudes, etc).
