Pretty sure they meant content wise you dummy. Of course it's going to be scaled down a bit. It's a 3DS. I personally think it looks pretty impressive given the hardware. Also instant load times if you port to a landmark in the same large area.

I meant game wise. Obviously a less graphically powered version that has half the resolution isn't going to look as good. I just said that in case he was confusing chronicles 3D with Chronicles X.

Honestly, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if these were more aimed for a western audience, given how all these recent arcade ports were basically only because of requests in Japan. It also helps that these actually haven't been announced for Japan yet.

Well the west always liked Sonic more than Japan and both the other games are just super popular in general, its nice that they'll most likely be given the same love and care the other games have gotten. Though the arcade ports were generally more awesome than the genesis ones in terms of features, honestly.

Given that one of the features of many of the games is the choice between US/International and Japanese versions, I'm really pulling for 3D Streets of Rage III.

Fantasy Zone and Galaxy Force II and OutRun and Shinobi III are rad. After Burner II is pretty sweet also, though hard and a bit shallow.

I do get what you're saying, though. Totally looking forward to the 3D translations of Treasure's parallax antics. I want to see them do Dynamite Headdy as well, unlikely as it is, just to see those faux 3D moments in real 3D.

Just based on what was on the JP site, it adds a birthday system that gives you tickets for passing people on their birthday, filling sections of the calendar, etc, a VIP room that lets you save 100 Miis (streetpass/spotpass Miis only, I think, no QR), some enhanced BGM options that let you pin certain tracks to certain screens or listen with the system closed, and some fast-skip options for reading Mii info.

Does the VIP thing actually make it easier to make progress in the games in any way? That's the only reason I'd consider getting it. I enjoy the streetpass games but they're so slow when I go periods without getting a lot of passes.
