No Roy and Wolf because we already have Marth and girl Marth, and because we already have Fox and bird Fox. Lucas and Mewtwo are okay because thier coolness over rides any similarities to other chars.

I'm definitely not a fan of that Ryu rumor, not for any distaste of Ryu himself but rather for the related consequences of not having Phoenix Wright and the other parts of that rumor being true like a second Marth clone. Although I guess if we did get Ryu, would his Final Smash be Shinku/Metsu Hadoken, or an Evil Ryu transformation?

Actually it'd probably be similar to his Denjin mode from MvC3, or just a really big beam, preferably the former because it's suck as hell when you do denjin > shin tatsumaki

lol if you honestly think Phoenix Wright has a chance when every other third party character has been from enormous multi-million selling franchises and Capcom doesn't even bother localizing half the Ace Attorney games because they barely sell.

Unless you're counting the GBA versions, the old Windows versions and most of the mobile versions, Capcom's been pretty consistent about localizing Ace Attorney games and the only one that hasn't left Japan is AAI2 and that was because the team that developed it disbanded too quickly.

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior and Street Fighter II Turbo are two of the best-selling games on the SNES not made by Nintendo so at least it makes sense in that regard. Kind of like how Heihachi being in PlayStation All-Stars was the only third-party representative that made any sense in that game because Tekken was the first million-seller on the PS1.

The star gets in first, before the supporting cast is allowed to join. This is true for all series in Smash Bros, from Mario to Xenoblade. It is not Zangief's turn.

if they're really bringing roy back i hope he at least gets the brawl clone treatment to make him more unique. i don't think he's a good choice at all though. his game wasn't very good and he's not a terribly interesting protagonist. the only thing he has going for him is that he was in melee. there's a lot of cool potential characters from fire emblem and roy is like the most boring one.
