Making the Superman poster the same colors as the Obama "HOPE" poster isn't quite working for me either. Even the Captain America movies aren't so dumb that they invite close comparisons to real world political figures in a vain grab for depth and allegorical relevance. Reminds me a lot of the Bioshock video games that frequently confuse "presenting an idea" with the same thing as commenting on that idea.

Yeah They both have blue and red, but other than that I don't think the designs are very similar and the Superman one doesn't evoke the Obama one to me.

The Obama poster is red, white and blue, the superman poster is only red and blue. Superman is entirely red and the background is entirely blue, in stark contrast of the Obama poster that mix and match.
