I have been asked if we can have a goat like 5 times in the last month, and apparently "No, we live in a condo" isn't a reasonable answer as to why we can't. I nearly got away with buying a boat cos my girlfriend misheard me when I got excited about seeing a good deal in the local paper. She figured it out when I said "we can take it to the islands and catch fish with it!"

I've just decided my ideal revised "Top gear" would be Stephen fry, Jonathan Ross and Richard hammond. Other than fry i dont really "like" any of those guys, but i saw them work together in a show and the chemistry is top gear-class and they do have the presenting chops to do it right. Of course it would be completely different in format and attitude but that would be my choice. They are of course not auto journalists, but all i want from top gear is "3 dudes have fun". If you change that its not top gear, if you keep it it will likely succeed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tuN5HJPiso (skip to 4:40 if it doesnt) That is straight up "Top gear" right down to the A team drummy theme as they use an angle grinder in a secret workshop just off the A45. Clarkson thought he had Cancer and found out 2 days before he assaulted the producer. So combine that with his Marriage collapsing and his Mother dying and its now more understandable why his emotional state was a mess and why he blew up the way he did. Also he has confirmed he is making another Car program, but May and Hammond might not be involved. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32371111 His column (behind paywall) http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/comment/columns/jeremyclarkson/article1545053.ece quote:I have lost my baby but I shall create another.

It really would have been great for this to come out right away, like in the first week. I think it would have swayed sentiment on his side enough to save the show.

I admire him for not playing the 'cancer card' or trying to dodge responsibility throughout the situation (he was the one who informed the bosses) (mind you, I'd admire him more if he hadn't lamped an innocent guy, but still)

If you're adding them and other veg/herb stuff, you may as well be making a boscaiola. Carbonara is all about the eggs, cheese, pepper, bacon/pancetta/guanciale, pasta, and that's all.

It's called carbonara because the carboneri (Charcoal burners) used to make it. If an ingredient couldn't survive being carried up a mountain and kept in a filthy shack for three months, don't put it in.
