I really am curious just how many Tarot Stands would've been made significantly easier by Avdol's presence in the fight.

Because it seems like it'd be a lot.
I recall Hol Horse being hugely relieved when Avdol took a bullet for Polnareff for exactly this reason. Probably because he could've melted all of J Geil's mirror shards and then turned HH into well cooked cowboy sauce.

Something that never gets brought up is the fact that Hol Horse's bullets are part of his Stand, so he might be able to take damage from his bullets being hit.

In which case, yeah, he'd definitely not want to fight Avdol.

Avdol could still probably boil the water. Ordinary people can't see the "flames" that Magician's Red creates, though they can feel the heat, or see the fire once objects actually ignite. It's more accurate to say that he creates heat, though Stand Users can still see that heat in the form of phantasmal flames.

I'm inclined to say Avdol has the advantage against DBM since he can probably directly evaporate the water.

JoJo has a proud history of characters not being broke as gently caress only cause they're stupid. Part 4 has it even worse, with one of the main dudes having an INSANE Stand power then maybe using it like 3 times cause he's a retard.

vvvv: people aren't even going to understand the reference. Anyway I don't see the point because Avdol isn't anything like the character you're mentioning, and isn't remotely dumb, just kind of chivalrous and also not there.

I can't even think of other characters too stupid to use their powers. He's the only one.

I was just saying there's no point in talking about a character people in here don't know to explain current stuff, especially when it's not really the case.

It's not really about spoilers, it's the fact that you can't reply without going into spoilers unless staying really non-specific. Sorry for being snippy about it.

Him being blind was probably better for his stand. As he does not have to get anywhere near the group to target them just relying on the sound. Him and his stand had a similar situation to the Sun. Arabia Fats had to keep an eye on and stay in sight of Jotaro and gang. In end using the mirror to try and make them not notice him. N'Doul just had to sit within his stands range and listen out of sight.

Not everything that's part of one's stand "transfers damage" to the user. See also: Polnareff not getting damaged over Silver Chariot's sword breaking. Generally seems like reusable/ammo portions of peoples' stands are considered expendable, but like everything in Jojo this exception is subject to exceptions depending on what feels best for Araki when he's writing the characters.

The damage to Thoth from Emperor's bullets didn't transfer to Boingo either. I think this is generally waved away by it being an "automatic" Stand, but there are later automatic Stands that transfer effects of battle to their users so :Araki:

e: I'm not sure what's accomplished by pretending a vague statement about a Part 4 character is a spoiler, then following that up with more detail about said character.

Any rule that Araki makes up about Stands become less and less relevant with time, which is good because Araki's weirdness cannot flourish under such restrictions.

That's kind of hard to say since each Jojo protagonist is usually quite different from the last, and we can't really have the Speedwagons/Caesars/other supporting cast members outshining our JoJos.

Youngseph really is great, though. :allears:

Young Joseph is among the best main characters and has a very solid claim to being the single best of all of them.

That's at least in part because of the shift Araki had in his writing, where the protagonist didn't have to carry the whole thing and it becomes a ensemble piece. People not named JoJo actually get to win fights, and they can get more spotlight on them. :v: I would imagine in this part if the thread were polled the favorite crusader would probably be Polnareff and not Jotaro.
