Has any Apple Watch (not Sport) been confirmed for April at all? Seems like almost all the steel ones are delayed. I think everything so far has been sport varieties.

Gold link Edition is best for running. Gold won't tarnish when exposed to sweat like other metals.

Maybe a couple dozen people have actually used the Apple Watch beyond the try-on session, and of those I'm not sure how many of those ran with it on. There isn't a consensus yet beyond common sense.

No, they just call it "sport" and make it out of rubber for kicks, but really the gold link band is best for running. Hope you've got $20k.

My extra charger shipped, but my watch is still at order processing. However, after seeing all of these other people that have shipment notification coming from Mt. Juliet, TN, I'm not as worried as that is only 10 minutes from my house. Hoping to get my 42mm space grey sport watch Friday still.

When I preordered mine I preordered a bunch of 'em across multiple Apple ID's to be sure I'd get a launch day watch but I wasn't sure which one actually wanted to keep. My strategy was to just have like near-midnight preorders for everything I thought I might like, book a try-on appointment as soon as I could, figure out which I wanted then just cancel the rest. Surprisingly enough, the try-on appointments really were very open at my Apple Store, so I was able to go up there first thing, figure I liked the 42mm link bracelet the best, and then just cancelled all my other Apple Watches when I got back home.

I basically threw thousands of dollars in the trash doing that. :(

I mean I knew the Apple Watch would be hot but I don't think anyone saw this insanity coming, ever.

I'm sure the title of this thread is a bit extreme but hear my reasoning prior to casting judgement. What makes Apple different than any other tech company? Loyalty! Customers actually looked forward to product launches and waiting in line for a chance to be an early adopter. This product launch is a complete joke! So yes I woke up about Ten minutes late and have to wait until 5/13-5/27. That is not the primary reason I'm upset. I don't like that Katy Perry, Pharell, Drake, Beyoncé are all running around with a watch. Steve Jobs would have fired whoever gave the product out prior to the actual release. That is terrible advertising anyway. I guarantee that I ( the loyal Apple customer) have spent more on Apple products than any of the people named above. I'm sure Dr Dre is out running around giving out the watch to these people while being escorted by his thug posse. What a Joke having that guy as an executive anyway. This company's appearance is changing in a bad way. There are so many ways this product launch are a terrible future for Apple. Apple wouldn't be what it is today without its retail partners and it's pretty obvious that they are cutting them all out of the profit by only selling it on the Apple Store online. I'm venting because they obviously released the watch the same day as the Samsung s6 just to try and sway a few but not because they were ready to launch

I'm really divided on color options. Sticking with a Sport, since I'm wary of spending much more on a first-gen product. That said, I don't really care for any of the band colors paired with the silver case, but it seems like it would be a nicer match for any of the pricier bands. Taken in a vacuum, I really like the space grey case with black band, but that case color seems like it would be awkward with, say, a Milanese loop or modern buckle band.

Anyone work through a similar dilemma before preordering?
