There are some strands with more of a gap between them in that fresh piece and in the other one they are a lot closer together. I'm not saying it's not possible they're the same, but I'm not 100% believing that they are. If it did in fact fade that poorly it was probably done lovely to being with. I've seen plenty of tattoos done in a similar style hold up pretty well.

Look on the left hand side of the skull, in the hair. Duder has a mole. IIRC the artist posted the "healed" poo poo one when he did another tattoo under it on his facebook.

The areas and detail around the eyes got lighter making the eyes look larger and malformed because of the contrast.

Not to mention they're on a fleshy canvas which changes the shape of the tattoo. Like the hair. It "moves" between them, because the arm is not in the exact same position.

Take note of all the fine lines in the hair and beard, the detail in the forehead, between of the nose ridge, in the cheeks... all faded to gently caress all.

That is hyper realisim in tattoos my friends, and it's gonna be loving hilarious when people start realising how poo poo it really is.

Same tattoo or no, a lot of this fading and damage can also be attributed to not wearing sunscreen. Living in a sunny area and wearing sleeveless shirts (as this bro probably does) would fade that poo poo really quickly.

Some notable places to look are the nasal cavity and the eyes as well as the highlighting on the teeth. I don't think I've ever seen a tattoo where the shadow on the inner eye darkened while at the same time other black cracks and holes disappear and, highlights on the teeth move around, and other inconsistencies.

If it IS the same tattoo, then the fault likes entirely on the dude who got it done for having another artist go over it and also not letting it heal properly, causing colors to not stick.

Did you find that in the post I made about it?

It is the same tattoo on the same person. It had a touch up which is why some of the lighter parts were made darker and the eyes are completely different. But i 'think' it was still a touch up done by the original artist. It's just the fact that hyper realism in tattoos just does not last.

The fault lies squarely at the foot of the tattooer knowing it's going to look like poo poo in 6 months but doing it anyway.
