I don't know much about Everest, a lot of people are trapped some distance up the mountain, right? And they only have the supplies they brought with them, and now Everest is surrounded by a messed-up earthquake country? Genuine question, what are the odds some people are gonna get eaten?

But earlier in the thread people were saying that there were a lot of inexperienced climbers on Everest this year. So maybe some of them will jump the gun and eat someone before they really needed to?

Here's a USGS-produced shakemap for the region. Should mention that the damage column takes into account Western building standards. Areas in yellow are marked as "light" damage, but if stone buildings are the main type of construction you're going to see a lot of partial building collapses. They don't withstand shaking very well.
