Dewgy posted:Being able to laugh regularly about the phrase "Cornhole Tournament" was the only good thing about living in Ohio. Ohio is where I first encountered Cornhole. I moved away for a few years, and when I came back: BAM! Cornhole! It was frigging everywhere. There were tournaments all over the place. Every bar had either a real Cornhole setup, or a Cornhole video game. Cornhole videogame? Yeah, that's a thing. I went thirty years without ever hearing of Cornhole, then it's suddenly everywhere. I think it's charming how so many of the British papers still make out their Sunday edition to be a whole other publication from the one they put out the rest of the week. The Guardian even transforms into "The Observer" for Sundays. That used to be a thing in the US as well but it's rare here now.
