After I make dinner, he wants to put everything away before we even eat. I just made dinner and I am hungry, I want to eat it and then put away the leftovers and clean up. Like what if you get married and then the other person comes and takes a poo poo while you're in the shower, chatting with you all the while? deal. breaker.

I just made dinner and I am hungry, I want to eat it and then put away the leftovers and clean up. Fair enough. But the way I see it, the whole endeavor can only succeed with compromise anyway. I think if the rest of the elements are there, you will adapt. It's just a matter of whether that happens before or after you get married. A lot of the stuff that bothers people when living together are inconsequential pet peeves, but those will always be there. I've been married 17 years, and I still find new things to be irritated about. That just happens when you're in close proximity with anyone for an extended period of time. Also, if your partner insists on making GBS threads while you shower, well your relationship probably also has other issues.

Sappo569 posted:I tried to find reviews on this, or even information on what it does aside from 'stuff' It's amazing how terrible Google's marketing is. The basic explanation is it's a watch with unlimited face design choices that also allows you to view/dismiss phone notifications and use Google Now/voice dictation from your wrist. Or at least that's how I use it. It also takes your heartrate/counts steps but I consider those just gimmicks. It's not supposed to be a phone replacement or revolutionary new gadget or get filled with apps like a phone, though some people try and you can do stuff like buy from Amazon on it. This is the best video I've found, but my watch is the first to have the next update so it's a bit out of date itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RDd2TIKdiw Basically, don't overthink it. It's a watch that shows the same notifications that you get on your phone and has its own microphone. If you want more than that you'll be disappointed. It fits some people's lifestyles and not others, much like a tablet. I've never owned a tablet and this is my fifth smart watch.

In 10 years you can be sure it will be 40 % more unless Smartwatches really manage to produce a second Quartz-crisis. This one should be about 9k (if it is the Dark Side of the Moon edition) or 6k if it isn't (substantial discounts are possible of course).

Eh, I'm in the "clean up immediately after cooking before eating" camp. I figure that I'll be in a food coma after my meal, and the time to quickly put stuff in the dishwasher/wipe the kitchen down gives my food time to rest. This comes in handy when cooking meat, where if you don't rest the food you get all the juices squirting out. Not purchased yet, but debating whether to get the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight on PPV at my own place for $100 with a couple friends or go to a bar that's got a $30 cover. Actual purchases:

It takes like 2 minutes to clean up after yourself and get this, one person can be cleaning while the other puts the food out. :o

Not to mention it's a lot easier/quicker to clean up while everything is still fresh/hot/whatever, before the food has time to dry and stick to everything.
