This made me far angrier than his Trans Hitler cartoon. I mean, he's such a failure at illustrating action that he draws the bullets in mid-flight, like a child would. I am 100% on board with this trend in mocking shitheads. I am torn if it is too soft, compared with say the n-word classic version from Die Hard With a Vengeance. I'd ask "aren't cops part of the justice system" but maybe it's a subtle prod at injustice.

Question, has Obama ever actually said the words "more government" or is this just Bok zoning out every time a Democrat suggests doing a thing?
|
# ? Apr 29, 2015 23:51 |

I doubt Obama bellowed MORE GOVERNMENT but rather called for more oversight and government investing in schools and infrastructure so people don't end up in these hopeless quagmires. What's even funnier is that Bok wouldn't oppose sending in more police despite that being more government.

Seattle comics! (sort of) As some of you know, last month, Ed Murray (who is openly gay), the mayor of Seattle, banned travel to Indiana as part of protesting the religious freedom law. He got a lot of hate mail, and The Stranger got a hold of them as part of a public records search. They drew cartoons from some select hatemail and did some great drawings of Ed Murray based on the hatemail: quote:Dear Adolph Murray, quote:Mr. Mayor, quote:Mayor Murray, quote:I realize that you neither understand nor support the Constitution of the United States, but please be advised that a person cannot be lawfully compelled or coerced by government to engage in any activity, commercial or otherwise, in violation of his religious conscience. This natural right of religious freedom is specifically enumerated in the First Amendment and is a cornerstone of our nation's culture and legal system. There is no fundamental constitutional right to engage in homosexual behaviors, nor is the government constitutionally empowered to force one to act in violation of his religion. Sorry, Mayor, but the First Amendment trumps the homosexual agenda. Thus, I would encourage Washington, Connecticut, and California to secede from the union in order to pursue the agendas and forms of government of your choosing. However, in lieu of such secession, you will not be permitted to force your anti-Constitutional agenda on the rest of the nation. Please be further advised that until such time as you rescind your travel ban to Indiana, my company will cease to engage in any form of commerce with Seattle-based companies. quote:Dear Godless, Communist Mayor, The artist is James Yamasaki, by the way. Those gay buns

I don't like the equivalency in these. The guy on the left is just a guy, he can be forgiven if his perceptions are wrong (and they very well might not be). The guy on the right is a trained professional at evaluating people.

This cartoon seems to want to make it out as if the power difference doesn't exist or doesn't really matter.
