Some things I noticed in the old build: Karts are 100x more amazing than I ever imagined some of the detail in this game is staggering. You can actually see the individual grooves of the rumble strips. I spent a good ten minutes just looking at the detail in my tires Rain water pools on lows in the road. KARTS ARE AWESOME

Just checked a few minutes ago in the US store and I am still not seeing PCars there yet. A pal's suggestion was to create a second account on the PS4 with a Euro address to get access to their store for the purchase. Might try it.

Might want to confirm that if you buy it on an EU acct, your US account can play it. I'm 94.3% certain that works, since it did for PS3 games, but I'd 2x check in the main PS4 general thread before you risk your  x 3

Hoping dedicated servers get a bit more love; preferably with automated track/car rotations instead of the host/lobby model, including joining races in progress (if not only to spectate). Bonus points for an API to extract race results from the servers so server operators could use it to build an iRacing-style network with a simplified IR/SR system. Not that I've thought about this too much or anything. Karts are awesome

Side question - I drive using a Rift so I don't get a HUD. Seemingly randomly during practice/qualifying my car will just shut down completely. It's happened during a Free Race, too. I assume it's because I've run out of fuel, but some of these qualifying sessions are 10 minute sessions using the baseline setup, so that doesn't seem right. Any idea why the car would just randomly shut off on its own?

I only have the Junior membership (10 euros). They said they're going to take away the beta version and give me a 20% discount coupon for the retail. That hasn't happened yet, but they posted about it on the 27th and said it could take days, so I'm assuming it will happen eventually.

I'm on Xbone so I've not played in any beta tests, for those that have how forgiving is the game, if it's like Forza I'll go for it but if there's really strict gating like some of the Gran Tourismo licences I'll most likely give it a miss.

You'll enjoy Project CARS! The physics model is realistic, but even with a gamepad the game is comfortable and easy to play. The career mode is a series of calender events where you can pick which type of racing you want to do. You don't have to start with Go-Karts for example, if you want to jump into Le-Mans prototype race cars or F1 cars you can absolutely do that right from the start.

I can also confirm I still can't drive a standard worth poo poo. I can turn all assists off and manual transmission and go around the track at fast speed in perfect control but my race pace sucks because I am bad at shifting at the right times so oh I slowed down for this corner way too much and just lost 2 seconds welp.

Project CARS is how I want racing sims to be now. I don't think I can tolerate Gran Turismo or Forza anymore. Their systems are archaic to me. That probably still won't stop me from buying Gran Turismo 7 though. :/

There are all variants of skylines half the time. I would much rather have actual race cars than a bunch of street cars. Full race weekend is way more important to me than a lot of cars.

But I agree, forza 6 would be really cool if it added full race weekends. But I just don't think the developers have ever changed their minds or intentions that forza is better with shorter races, they've probably talked about it and dismissed it. It's really about the stlye of forza, with its quick paced multiplayer lobbies and 'making each car about the player'. Full race weekends don't really fit well in that. I found that I just stuck to a handful of cars and grinding money to buy everything just wasn't a good use of my time. I don't have the patience or time anymore for that sort of game. PCARs has a great car list that fulfills everyone's favorite type of racing.
