Nah, it is hot garbage. But that's okay, there's still dozens of other Kirby games that are good and that you can play instead.

Pinball Land is the worst Kirby game and Star Stacker GB is pretty dull, too. (The SFC version's a little better.)

Epic Yarn has beautiful graphics and incredible music and is cute and fun and definitely one of the best Kirby games, although certainly not number one. Top five for sure though.

It does have very beautiful music and graphics, no one will deny that. But the gameplay is absolutely terrible, one of the most boring games I have ever played in my life.

not every game needs to be an xtreme gamer challenge, and kirby's epic yarn is a fine entry into the "chilling out with your pink and/or blue friends" genre

clearly you didn't play Epic Yarn in Co-op

Don't buy the $50 updated DS game for full price.

There's no point buying Atlus games at full price, a couple of months after launch it'll be on sale on the eshop.

Like it's one of those games where you look at it and for the first five minutes or so you're going "man this is dumb" but then you do a hella sweet trick shot and the game owns.

Man, I haven't had a demo turn me off a game as bad as that Puzzle and Dragons demo and I'm a complete sucker for Match-3 games (I'm still playing Poke Shuffle every day despite it being bad).

It was basically the totally opposite with me. I hate match 3 stuff but thought the demo was awesome + pre-ordered it

amiibo tap is fun if you're trying to see how far you can go in a game/how fast you can complete one of the shorter games before the time limit runs out.

Is this that German fixation with buying games with mindless tasks that seemingly get you guys to preorder every Woodcut Simulator and whatnot? Or maybe did I miss something about that game's trailer? It does not look particularly fun or interesting even not taking into consideration the original theme it's riffing on.

I like the idea of a game about you doing a mundane task while you can see the real adventurers getting on with fighting monsters, getting in your way and stuff but that just looks bad.

Terper posted:Uhm, actually, all the music is like that. It's not all like that, a lot of the music is streamed audio that sounds like actual music, but interspersed between those tracks are terrible MIDI files that don't play correctly. The word was that the devs had originally intended to use a bunch of classic Sonic tunes but Sega made them pull them at the last minute, so some dude replaced them with fan MIDIs pulled off the internet. The music in that Zelda clone is supposed to be ironic, I think.
