As far as I can tell, the only position Bernie supports that I do not (other than, of course, FULL COMMUNISM) is mandatory labeling of GMO products, and I'm willing to eat that one to have a candidate that actually, genuinely wants to help working class people in the US in the year of our dark lord obama 2015. I donated some money to his campaign, even.

What are Bernie's stances on Israel and domestic nuclear energy production?

My Imaginary GF posted:What are Bernie's stances on Israel and domestic nuclear energy production? Counting Israel makes two I guess, though he's probably less likely to bomb people to prop up Israel than pretty much any other candidate. He's a "true green sources" kind of guy which is fine, anything to get us away from fossil fuels. Nuclear is a good alternative but I won't shed a tear if an energy investment policy focused entirely on renewables.

My Imaginary GF posted:What are Bernie's stances on Israel and domestic nuclear energy production? Sanders is a strong supporter of Israel and has defended the actions governments have taken in "self defense". He has lauded his vote in the House against the '91 Gulf War, and the 2003 Iraq War as Senator.

My Imaginary GF posted:What are Bernie's stances on Israel and domestic nuclear energy production? He supports Israel with the occasional slight admonishment when the number of UN designated shelters being blown up gets too high to ignore. With the personal antagonism that seems to exist between Hillary and Bibi, Sanders might somehow be the pro-Israel candidate between the two, not that that means much. He seems to be softly anti-nuclear power. No statements that he wants a hard bans but questioning subsidies to the industry and throwing up regulatory roadblocks.

With Jeb, you don't second-guess that he'd put Jeb's interest before Israel's, you know Jeb's best interest is Israel's best interest. If the single issue you decide your vote on is the welfare of a specific foreign state you shouldn't really be allowed to vote in the first place.

My Imaginary GF posted:What are Bernie's stances on Israel and domestic nuclear energy production? According to some of you guys upthread, the thing that is, possibly, achievable, in keeping with all that SMART bullshit, is a Sanders-Clinton debate. Provided this guy "keeps up his visibility". What's the metric for that? e: do I get to spam inane memes and FWDs, is my point.
