If you want to elect more progressive candidates, you need to get people to be more progressive. There's no silver bullet. By its very nature it requires lots and lots of individuals, in order to shift a culture. One of the important parts, though, is not saying 'gently caress them', as you asshoholishly did, to people who were born into the poo poo and never had a real chance of getting out of it. If you're actually a progressive or anything like it, showing by not saying 'gently caress them' about people who are being grossly misserved and misinformed by their own government.

This is a thread about politics, and if you find yourself being upset about politics then you're better off just disengaging completely. The last thing anyone wants to read is how you're going to vote for Sanders as a way to stick it to Hillary - who gives a gently caress? It's not our job to convince you to care about the absurd spectacle that is American politics. It's still very far away, but if Jeb secures the Republican nomination I am really curious to see how well he can be tied to George. Eight years of bullshit from Dubya's presidency will be fair game as attack material against Jeb, and I bet Hillary and the DNC go super-negative very early trying to build those associations. The Obama campaign established Romney's image as an out-of-touch, parasitic executive very early and undermined a key part of his biography. It will be interesting to see what sticks to Jeb.

It's been two weeks since Rubio announced his campaign and he hasn't had the precipitous drop in polling that the other candidates have had after their honeymoon period. I really think Rubio has a stronger shot at the nomination than Walker - I'm skeptical Walker will be an effective national campaigner, whereas Rubio will probably do just fine.
