Get an accounting job outside Auckland, be ridiculously patient and be prepared to deal with massive incompetence that occasionally borders on corruption and you should be fine (I worked for INZ for 7 years lol).

Experienced hire market is turning over pretty nicely in the commercial world. Entry level stuff is a little harder to come by. It will help immensely if your qualification is recognised by CAANZ.
