I keep getting a "Cannot connect to partner" message, which usually means there's some kinda firewall, so thanks school net. Though it lets me play Mario Kart and Smash (Sometimes) so I dunno.

The roller seems to be crazy good. I can't tell the difference between the Splattershot and the Splattershot Jr. though. Charge rifle seems really pathetic though. Doesn't go far enough, or spray wide enough. Enemies move too quickly to snipe them efficiently. Or maybe I just suck at it. I might give it another try when I nab the gamepad from my roommate.

Roller seems really powerful in both coverage and killing right now but it's probably because everyone is fumbling awkwerdly with the guns so it's easy to just hold forward on themLemming posted:It's pro for making early lines of ink real far out for rushing Yeah the weapons' primary focus is on their unique paint spreading ability. Okay this is really fun, but I liked Brink too so I'm probably not the best arbiter. Roller is definitely pro. Great for inking, and sneaking up on people is unreasonably satisfying. You definitely need teammates on guns to ink up walls, at least with the default roller.

I kind of wished you could see what weapons your teammates have, so you're not a team of 4 snipers who gets dominated.

And that's the end. Still don't know the difference between the Splattershots. Basic but good. Roller is great but has no vertical game. Someone above you on a crate? Hug the crate close or squid away. Even when I know I'm getting the hang of the charge rifle, it still sucks. Maybe I just have lovely accuracy, but it's spraying power needs to increase.

Everything but the sniper was really fun. Holy gently caress that gun was awful trying to get a handle on for fighting, and it's terrible at painting territory.

The shorter range means that you also end up with less spread on the shot, so it's better for taking people down. Splat charger is garbage and bad.

this poo poo is so much fun. by the end I realized how important constantly checking that map is, seems like there are a few big areas on each map you need to maintain control of primarily and then just keep on the little corridors as needed. I missed a dash button at first but then I realized that's what squid mode is for.

Aww man...ended just as I was getting in my groove. That was really fun. The control is solid though it takes a little bit to adjust to it, the way "grenades" are used is neat, and the little squid-jumping minigame in between rounds is a nice touch. I...I might actually buy this, and I had no intentions of doing so before. Oh, and paint roller is OP.

The charger is hard to get a handle on. It feels like you're supposed to use it to cover buddies, and seems really bad for general territory covering.
