I've been gorging on tattoo shows and watching all the old seasons and I can't believe how so many of them are in the "top 16" to begin with. I can only imagine that the time crunch and lack of sleep and everything else throws them off their game. Not to mention it seems obvious that some of them are kept around not because they're good at tattooing but because they're such whacked out drama bombs that it makes for more entertainment. I've been pretty much skipping past all the drama parts and watching the critique sections. My favorite shows are the ones where they cover up terrible tattoos, but I keep reading that the shows are fake. I really want to believe my bad tattoos can be covered with awesome tattoos.

Yea, that's "Bad Ink" and it does seem like at least some of them are fake. "Tattoo Nightmares" doesn't seem fake - at least the tattooing part. Complete with bad kerning, bad spelling, and Every Word In A Sentence Capitalized. (Maybe it's a song title?)
