She could be flying off to check on her captive Serket. She could be running Seer interference, hence why Rose couldn't see Rosesprite coming. Oh god, I have a problem.

Pretty much all of her evil chicanery came from thinking she knew better than other people about what was good for them. I can't imagine her telling someone that it's not worth trying to grow as a person, even if she hated them. It would be like Vriska letting someone think they'd made a fool of her—even if it moved her closer to her goals, it would be completely out of character.

I don't think there would be an actual, according to Hoyle, stabbing of backs, as Aranea has not demonstrated that she has any swords suitable for the activity. However she does have a bunch of mind controlled Damaras on retainer and Vriska does have a notably low Being Psychically Smacked Around Resistance attribute. I'm predicting a %10 chance of villainous monologues.
