Much like the actual 80s vs. WWII/the 60s the second season of Danger 5 has an impossible standard to live up to and in many ways is grasping at optimism, but that's also honest so it comes back around to working in a weird way. Props to them for not trying to just remake Season 1 too.

Carnie art is the best art. I went to a carnival in Germany and saw the greatest haunted house. It had an entire airbrushed euro-80s mural across the front featuring Vikings rowing past a jumping robot dolphin, badly drawn Terminator and Robocop, a wizard, fiery mountains and a host of other things you'd expect to see on the side of a child molester's van. I ended up spotting the same haunted house at two or three different fests; I really wish I had taken photos of it. I ended up taking my kids through it and the ride itself was terrible.
